Frazier KO 2. I don't think it'd look much different than the Foster fight. Fitzsimmons has never impressed me on film.
There are some very silly predictions here. Frazier should win, but Fitz doesnt lose in two to any slow starter. He arfuably lasted much longer against bigger and harder hitting guys like Jeffries. No way does Frazier finish things much earlier than Jeffries. In fact, if Fitz lands the way he did against Jeffries, there are no guarantees Frazier survives the distance. By the way, is it common ground by all that prime fitz beats the frazier who drew with cummins?
Every time I watch Foreman Frazier, I just dont see Frazier making past a guy that hit harder than Foreman, if Frazier though Big George hit hard, he be shock when Fitz drops Fraizer with the first punch he thowns. Frazier's heart will see that he makes it to round 2, but like the Foreman fight, He would be daze with that power of Fitz.
Frazier is a slow starter, I think Fitz really has a chance to take Joe out before Joe warms up. Fitz has ko iron chin heavyweights like Sharkey. So dont be shock if it ends in a round or 2 with Bob's hand rise in victory.
It always sounds that way, but look at Fitz's record, some of the weight disparities he battled against, and some of the stoppages he incurred. I won't say anything about how he compares to Foreman power wise but he was quite literally a deadly hitter(see: the death of Con Riordan). The guy was a bald ****ing freak:
Am I the only one who was not impressed with Fitzsimmons, Corbett, Jeffries, and Johnson on film? They were great for their time but I don't have the imagination to imagine how they'd have looked had they fought from like 1935 or later, around the time when the technique evolved to where it is today. I just see Frazier basically destroying Fitz. He was great for his time but his technique was awful compared to what it was when Frazier fought and Frazier's shorter hooks would quickly get inside Fitz's wider swings and Fitzsimmon's wouldn't have lasted to see the 3rd round.
