Well, you never truly know until a fighters career is over or on the downside. However, part of the "green" theory might be from the fact that he seemed confused in his fight against Lamont Peterson for stretches. That could just mean he's green...or just not very much of a thinker and might never be.

The other thing that might add to the "green" theory is this will be Victor's 2nd title fight in his career (unless you're counting the vacant....interim...title fight against Maidana which he lost). His other title fight probably had 900 people in the audience or so. This will basically be his first rodeo in that sense.

Having said that, that's not to discredit Floyd. I fully expect him to go in and beat the **** out of Victor because....HE'S THE BETTER FIGHTER BY FAR. And as I said before, I don't really have any problems with this fight except for the fact that it's not Pacquiao. The fact that ESPN lists Ortiz who has 1 fight at welterweight as the 2nd best welterweight in the world after edging Berto shows how weak the welterweight division is, so there's really not much better Floyd can do.

Ortiz's jab is **** leaving him ripe for the pull counter and when he lunges to close the distance for his straight left he's going to run into a check hook. Oh wait, that's not an excuse, just facts....

:patschMayweather only uses the pull counter over orthodox fighters. That way his right can over top of their left.............oh wait, that's just facts.

This has nothing to do with being green. Ortiz just isn't that good. He has one, just freaking one, good performance and people are now saying he's going to give Mayweather a good fight, let alone a competitive one? Another poorly match fight with the outcome people already know.

I'll say it right now. It will be a 12 rnds UD to Floyd. 12 rnds of a few shots here and there from Floyd. Then using his superior speed to get away.

He went from being at best the 5th best JWW to the 3rd best WW.

That is possible considering the depth of the division. The fact that he beat the WBC champ at 147. And he is a more durable fighter at 147.

To be a sensei you sure don't have a good mastery of your subject.:rofl:patsch

The pull counter is most often accomplished by the straight right but Floyd pulls back against southpaws the same way and counters with a left hook in lieu of the right hand.

However, you must have missed Money/Judah because he raked him with the pull counter repeatedly.

Dude who the died and made you Burt Sugar? You've gone on and on about people who don't know **** about boxing, when the reality is that with each post you've made, especially lately you don't have anything to say about boxing, you just make snob ass attempts to belittle others. That being said, **** you *****, why don't you stop cherry picking the noobs and pull this **** on the regulars? I mean cry me a ****ing river, Floyd is back and PAC isn't getting enough attention so you pout around acting like a ***ged out version of Al Bernstein. No disrespect but stop being a God damn ****** and either make some points or shut the **** up.

No this demonstrates a lack of familiarity with Ortiz and his career, the "bad performances" are far more the exception than the rule. I challenge you go back watch the kids fights and then come back and explain your "he's not that good" position.

Lets not make this bout into more than it is. Ortiz is a good boxer but he's not Mayweather/Pacquiao/Martinez level. The best comparsion in terms of quility (not style) is Cotto.
    For reffreance Mayweather/Pacquiao/Martinez Cotto/Ortiz & Cotto/Ortiz > Margarito/Clottey.
