True. But being called a Rogan nuthugger is below the belt, I will never recover from that.

The man is not overrated at all It's just a accumulation of things that have contributed to his down fall the main thing for me is age and the wear on his body look at the reflexs and speed of a young Fedor they were blindingly quick for a HW.

Fedor's decline in speed and reflexes has been a huge factor in his decline he heavily relied on this look at his earlier fights.

To say he Is/was overrated is ridiculous.

So I think the conclusion to the question: Fedor = Overrated is..
Probably not but it is not ridiculous to explore the possibility.

You cant really be called overrated when you dominated the HW division for 10 years or so. Especially when it was as strong as it was, in terms of depth and talent. Credit it where it's due

But some of the myth building and eulogising is a tad over board imo Everyone has a weakness, Fedor has fewer than most, by they are there

I ****ing hate that word. That ***** Goldberg uses it all the flaming time. And that twat has been covering the UFC since dam beginning.

As for Fedor overrated no. You cannot retrospectively say he is now overrated because he is in decline. That's like saying Ali was overrated because he lost to Larry Holmes.

It's actually a stupid ****ing argumant becasuse how do you quantify how 'rated' someone is. I mean you have the rankings and Fedor is deffo at the top. But I think we are all talking about how rated he was in the eyes of the fans. I mean people genuinly think he was indestructable and unbeatable and therefore these three losses are all to do with being shot and old. I personally think he made a big mistake against Wedum and got punished for it. Then once his big winning streak was over he had to take part in tourneys and fights he maybe didn't have the desire for and once a fighters air of invinciblity goes, even in his own mind, a massive advantage has been lost. I think Bigfoot and Hendo would have always been tough fights for Fedor and teh Werdum thing was maybe the result of a guy starting to belive his own hype and thinking he can walk through guys. He gave Werdums BJJ no respect whatsoever so that right there could be seen as a weakness in FE's game. He has now been KO'd aswell and the fact he never had been before was a big part of the 'cyborg' myth. I don't know, he's still the best but maybe the gap between him and the other guys isn't quite as big as we thought it was.

One overlooked aspect I think is that there is 10 years of footage, everyone knows exactly how Fedor will fight and game plan accordingly

He is well studied. The Hendo fight though? Was that typical Fedor?

Anyone who thinks Fedor was unbeatable need's their head tested. Any man is beatable. Especially in a sport in MMA. Which is the main reason why Fedor must be seen as the GOAT as his run is almost unprovable to the point of being impossible at that level.

can't front but fedor has won alot of ****. but all that sambo competitions are heavy sparring sessions really. he is not shot...can't be. you ***gots like "scaredRUNTandthings" and "stoo" claim that he is shopworn, but the type of deterioration of the reflexes and mind that is commonplace in boxing does not apply to mma. they just don't take enough shots, especially fedor. he is not shot. he is just average. sorry to burst your bubble sheep.

That was a Fedor iv not seen before. Fedor has never been that wild and that sloppy from the outset. He's always been calculating. Although willing to give one to take one he was getting clipped from the outset and never tried to take Hendo to the mat using his striking where Hendo is most vulnerable. Very odd game plan from Fedor.
