Entirely possible, except that I think Pac will score some knockdowns in the early rounds. By the time Mayweather gets out of the buzzsaw and dictates the range he’ll be hurting, behind on the cards and forced to show if he really is great.

Timing beats speed, whilst floyds speed is great, its probably not on a par with khans now i reckon but his accuracy and timing **** all over khan.

Ricardo Mayorga was stopped by no punch of Miguel Cotto (unless it hit his hand), that was an injury which caused the stoppage and no more.

Convenient for him that his hand gave way just as Miguel landed that left hook, eh?

Maybe he quit cos' he didn't fancy it anymore, but as far as I see it, that punch did little damage. The delayed reaction says it all. That monster punch didn't drop him, so I'd be very surprised if it was enough to have him out on his feet to the degree that he would be stopped (like people suggest). He couldn't defend himself because of his hand. Look at the pain on his face when they take his glove off at the end. Maybe he's just a better actor than I'm giving him credit for, but when has Mayorga ever pulled a stunt like that? He always goes out on his shield. And why would he cop out like that with so little time left in the last round? It makes no sense at all. He was in much, much worse state against Mosley (was thoroughly out on his feet) and carried on until he was out, so forgive me for thinking he wouldn't do the same in a decidedly easier situation :bart

:think He was still fighting, no sign of the hand forcing him to pull out of the fight, and then got caught by a big left hook, resulting in his hand giving way? Getting caught to the head doesn't increase the severity of a hand injury so forgive me for being sceptical that it wasn't that exact moment where he just so happened to be caught big by Miguel that he was unale to continue on, as opposed to previous moments when he wasn't getting caught by such sizeable blows.

Do you think he was out on his feet, though? I don't see it. That punch must have re-wired his brain or something if it made him want to quit, because it didn't seem to hurt him too badly. Anyway, we should do a Jeff Thomas style campaign to get Mayorga a role on Hoby city as a patient. It's evident he feigns pain very, very well :yep:hey;)

I'm not insinuating nothin', just saying, and I'm sure you'll agree that it was a somewhat, let's say, peculiar time for his hand to become that unbearable. Not when he was having his head rocked by jabs or his ribs battered, but when he took a head-screwing left hook.

:deal A hometown decision against Dirrell. A last minute hail mary against Taylor when if Taylor took a knee in the last 10 seconds he would have won the fight showing how far ahead he was on the cards, Without them two he is nowhere. AA was never anything special. Pascal was too green imo.
