Does Ponce Deleon have any chance whatsoever against Gamboa?

Gamboa has been fighting very cautious lately and I dont see him fighting any different vs a guy with as much raw power as Ponce. I see Gamboa jumping in with 1 or two punches then staying far out of range then as the fight goes on he will open up a little more and probably stop Ponce late or with a one sided UD. But if Ponce catches Gamboa....... could get interesting. Who knows Ponce's awkward style might be confusing to Gamboa and he could have a rough night but I wouldnt bet on it. I'm hoping for a Ponce KO win to even up JuanMa/ Gamboa fight with each guy getting KO'd by fighters the other guy beat. With both guys winning rematches and finally getting it on.

of course he does....Gamboas my fave fighter right now but I admit he has a shaky beard and Ponce has pop and the agressiveness to take someone out if he's stuns them so you got a give him a shot. Most likely Gamboa destroys him but that chin will always be a question mark against and agressive puncher like Ponce.

Of course he has a chance, but i feel that Mikey Garcia or Jhonny Gonzalez would have a better one. I want Gamboa to fight Mickey ( Probably not gonna happen for Arums ****** ass) and then if thats it at 126 move up to 130 and fight Broner

He has a punchers chance..But he won't capitalize on that. Ponce is a much improved fighter since the Juanma loss IMO. I see him getting stopped through 8 rounds. Gamboa is an unreal talent.

Of course he has a chance. He might be slow compared to Gamboa, but his timing is one if the best today. Lets not forget since the Lopez loss hes been under Beristein and hes a much better fighter. He embarrassed Broner who was 2 divisions above his natural weight. Hes a southpaw that can brawl too and also Salido gave Gamboa his toughest fight and Salido is a what? A brawler. Solis was too afraid and fidgety Deleon will give Gamboa a hell of a fight. Would really like to see Lopez vs Deleon 2.

    Ponce gonna get starched.

I like him, however.. hope to see him on major PPV undercards.

Gamboa is going to dominate Ponce De Leon, Gamboa's defense and offensive have significantly improved, he is becoming a more diciplined fighter. Ponce has a puncer's chance, if he can catch Gamboa off balance, Gamboa is hitting the canvas (which isnt new to anybody) but i don't even see that happening, especially after his awesome performance against solis! He is a beast!

The Solis fight has been his best performance to date. Mtagwa was a good one aswell but just looked good cuz he had given Juanma hell and nearly knocked him out.

He does have a chance, not a big one though. PDL is a southpaw who has great power and an awkward style. If Orlando Salido was able to give Gamboa a tough fight and was able to drop Gamboa, then any logical person can not deny that Ponce De Leon does have a punchers chance.

What Gamboa needs to do is stick to his gameplan and not get over excited, that's how he got caught against Salido. If Gamboa tries to brawl aganst PDL, the Mexicans' chances get better. If Gamboa sticks to his Cuban fundamental he should have a good night.
