He said that during his training they intook roughly 6000-8000 calories every day and they burned well over 15,000 calories in a day...

Maybe you need to research how much Michael Phelps consume and burns everyday.

 

It is ABSOLUTELY possible to do this! I doubt that he does this all year round as it often makes for an unlean physique. But it is not uncommon for swimmers, cyclists, or even strongman competitors to eat these sort of calories.
