Yes, but you do know that all Western Countries send aid to foreign Countries right?

In fact % of GDP wise the US is one of the least generous Countries of the Western World.

Any how wtf has this got to do with the OP!?!?!

Some gets routed to fund free education for all Israelis, while some gets routed as welfare payments for women and children, while some gets routed for free health care, amongst other things.:yep

most of it gets spent on weapons....

maybe the us should spend some of that money on a good public healthcare system for themselves?

We would, but the USA is a generous nation and we cannot bear to see all those poorly educated parents and starving children in Israel and Russia. It breaks our hearts, so we open wide our wallets to the Zionists. :good

    good for you..

i would rather my country spent that money on improving living conditions for its own underprivalaged citizens, rather than cutting the budget on public spending....

anyway, this is all a bit off topic...

don't be presumptious, every single one of the fighters on this list is a dangerous challenger for calzaghe.

my guess is that calzaghe would probably come out of this list of opponents with a record of

    40 fights
    28 wins
    9 losses
    3 draws

how is Amir Khan known in America headlining shows at 24 whilst Calzaghe was unheard of at 30 years old?

come on Joe gotta take some stick he would admit it himself.

truth is nobody thought Joe looked good during his bogus title reign.
He never fought amyone that made anyone stand up and take notice.

this is why Lewis, Hatton and Naz all had more exciting careers

Because of who he's promoted by and how much of a draw he already is. He can call the shots already!

Millions were watching Khan from day one! Not many watched Joe even in the UK. Joe suffered from the transition to PPV and the huge decline in viewing figures.

You're basically just saying if Joe had have fought the same quality of fighter, but they were known in the US then he'd have had a better legacy/resume!!? Maybe, but it's no different in actual quality of opponent, just hype of those opponents.

Hatton only got the fights as he was so huge. It was also quite late in his career. Naz was also getting 13m + watching his fights in the UK.

When Joe was huge he also got the US fights!

Perspective tells us Hopkins had a lot left, considering he has legacy enhancing wins immediately before the Calzaghe fight, and in the years after. Anyway, Calzaghe is considered a ducker because it's easier to say he ducked Hopkins in his prime, rather than the reality that Hopkins ran from him for 5 years until Joe was considered the top fighter above middleweight and he was the one with everything to lose.
