Abner Mares Vs Yonny Perez

116 - 112

Some close rounds in there and some tough 1's to score. This was Mares first real tough test and was made to work for it. Has nice fast combo's came in from Mares but left himself open to get tagged from time to time and backed off abit to much in a couple of the middle rounds but thats nothing that can't be ironed out. Had Perez hurt once or twice and really rallied hard in the last two rounds. Defo would of learned alot from this fight

 

Khan, Maidana.. round 1 what the **** was Maidana doing? trying to hook on the took up, arse!

 

De La Hoya vs Mosley I. 116-112 to Mosley, I found a lot of rounds difficult to score (for me of course) but it was a very good performance from Mosley, especially that last round. I might go for some of Froch's fights next, Pascal and then maybe Taylor in full. I was trying to find a way of watching Márquez vs John but the video that I found sucks because it doesn't tell you the round number and time left.

 

Haha, you're like me. I have to see the time when trying to score a fight. It makes it easier as you can calculate who wins each minute.

 

Cotto Clottey such a fun fight.

Cotto had a very bad cut. Clottey thrown down to the canvas. Mercante not controlling the cameramen outside the ring and constantly tripping over them. Very slippy centre of the ring for both fighters. Max having a frog in his throat all night. A lot of the controversy in the scoring is how you score the first round. I gave it 9-9. Clottey diving like a football player after a shot on the back of his head. I had it 115-112 Cotto. He swept last 4 imo. Clottey is very nice technically and Cotto is a dirty fighter but you got to like his will to win.

I would reccomend brewer vs Pemberton to anyone, a real closet classic, great fight:thumbsup

 

Over the past few days I've watched:

De La Hoya vs Mosley I (112-116) - decent fight.

Froch vs Pascal (116-112) - good fight.

Froch vs Taylor (103-105) - good fight.

Márquez vs Concepción - one of the fights of the year.

Vázquez-Márquez II

Mayweather vs Corrales (90-78 or something to Mayweather) - schooled.

Vázquez-Márquez III (114-111) - what a fight. I'm ashamed to say that I somehow managed to fall asleep yesterday at around Round 7 (partly because I was watching it whilst lying down).

Hopkins vs Calzaghe (111-116) - I thought that it would have been closer but I had a clear win to Calzaghe. Hopkins' acting was pretty pathetic.

I'm going to rewatch both Márquez-Pacquiao fights soon so that I can rescore them.

Also, with that new website I'll be finally able to watch a couple of rounds of Dawson-Diaconu that Sky missed in their broadcast.

 

Mayweather/JLC I...I had it a draw...

DLH/Mayweather...I had it a draw.

I've just watched JCC/Haugen...Now that was a real nasty spitefull sadistic beating. Chavez tortured Haugen in there. Like pulling the wings of a fly & then the legs one at a time before crushing it once bored.

 

Márquez - Díaz I. That is actually the best fight that I've ever watched so far. Amazing. I had it level.

Yeah, I sort of go with that (not in terms of minutes, more 15-20 second periods) and/or scoring it second-by-second on punches landed.

 

Ricardo Mayorga vs Andrew Lewis I - Only lasted around before a head clash in the opening seconds of round 2 ended it. If it means anything, Mayorga won the first round. He landed some pretty hefty right hands and appeared to get the better of the somewhat shocked Lewis.

Ricardo Mayorga vs Andrew Lewis II - Very good win for Ricardo Mayorga. It's a shame to see a fighter as nice as Six Heads Lewis get knocked out, but it really was a peach from Mayorga, caught Six with a great right hand, and he was out before he hit the floor (though promptly rose). I rate Lewis as a fighter, he was a tough awkward southpaw, who was quick, had a good jab and could really hit. Mayorga was just too awkward and powerful for him.

 

i had floyd nicking it 7 rds to 5.

it's how u score it early on that likely tips it either way.

cos castillo has a very good 2nd half to the fight.

i agree about his presence and positioning.

didn't over commit and give floyd the chance to counter.

hence the reason i wanna see floyd vs cotto.

cotto is a patient stalker type. :bbb

 

yeah fairly clear win weren't it. :good

calzaghe walked all over the defensive ****. :yep :happy

 

Cobb v Norton.
A little known slugfest throughout. And they touched gloves at the start and often at the end of each round.

 

I don't think Hop/Calzaghe is that clear at all.

I might score it again this week, but I had it 7-5 Calzaghe, with the kd, 114-113.
