Yeah, people were really expecting him to be the net big thing after that fight but it never really materialised after Rosario put the frighteners on Camacho and caused him to start fighting safety first.

Speaking of him, anyone see that superb combination Rusell strung together on what I think was the Alvarez-Hatton undercard? I'll see if I can dig it out, I'm proably making it out to be better with my own poor memory than it actually was, so don't hate if it ain't all that.

Camacho was extremely defensive when he got caught and hurt. He was more than happy to go into his shell after that and last the duration. Rosario was in all likelihood the origin of that.

I was going to make the Mayweather/ Camacho comparison where not stepping up and really providing the sport with the kind of performances it looked like they were capable off but I didn't want to side track the thread.

Even now I've chosen my words very carefully!!:good

Is 2,200 words too big for an ESB Encyclopedia entry?

My thread on Mijares had close to 3000. As long as it's good and not just long for the sake of it then it doesn't matter. Flea did a II part one on RJJ that was immense due to quality not quantity.

We are harsh critics on the encyclopedia, make it good.;)

Note on my Mijares thread incidentally, it was about 5000 words long, as I wrote like 4/5 paragraphs for every fight, but I realised that I'd be pushing it by doing that and freak people out a bit with my extreme homo-love, so I shortened it drastically.

It's hard to say, due to the disgraceful home judging the yanks benefited from in 84.
