MAB, Pac, JMM and Morales produced more fights and in many cases better fights overall than Leonard, Hagler, Duran and Hearns did together.

Barrera vs. Pacquiao 1 (High action/ One sided, huge upset)
Barrera vs. Pacquiao 2 (Decent but not great)
Barrera vs. Morales 1 (Arguably the greatest fight EVER)
Barrera vs. Morales 2 (Good scrap)
    Barrera vs. Morales 3 (Awesome)
Pacquiao vs. Morales 1 (Amazing two way brawl)
Pacquiao vs. Morales 2 (Another great fight)
Pacquiao vs. Morales 3 (Short/ Electric Action)
Marquez vs. Barrera (Technically beautiful/ Awesome duel)
Marquez vs. Pacquiao (Sensational opening/ one of the best comebacks EVER)
Marquez vs. Pacquiao 2 (Dynamite fight/ Controversial result)
    Marquez vs. Pacquaio 3 (?)

    Versus

Leonard vs. Duran 1 (Dynamite fight - one of the best)
Leonard vs. Duran 2 (Ray's showboating aside, not a very good fight)
Leonard vs. Duran 3 (Gutter shite)
Leonard vs. Hearns (First or second best welterweight clash EVER)
Leonard vs. Hearns 2 (Under Rated in the extreme - a Hearns victory)
Hagler vs. Hearns (More one sided than what people like to admit - Gold dust regardless)
Hagler vs. Leonard (Best comeback EVER/ Leonard over faded Hagler)
Hagler vs. Duran (Decent but nothing great)
Hearns vs. Duran (Two round blast out/ Maybe the best KO ever by Hearns)

The new fab four produced twelve fights with half of those - instant classics. The old fab four produced nine fights and five classics.

To say the new fab four are nowhere close is HORSE****!

    I thank you!

Will there ever be a better foursome at the same time in the same division again? I doubt it. Not likely in this lifetime anyway.

I think people are getting mixed up between as a group together fighting each other or as individuals. If you talk as a group of fights between them, then Pac, JMM, Morales and Barrera is better. The fights were much closer and filled with action. The original fab four were outstanding individually but not so much facing each other at Middleweight. Hagler was clearly the best middleweight and the most comfortable at it. Duran wasn't and SRL and Hearns had to grow into it. The new fab four were all there at around the same time.

    Not saying they were better.

But i prefer the fab four of Pac/Mab/JMM/Morales.

I would say I preferred the Ali, Foreman, Frazier, and Norton group more, however Norton was probably the weaker link, making the duran, sll, hearns and hagler foursome a better watch

    There already is . . .

haha on a serious note I doubt well find Boxers who would actually dedicate themselves and have the natural ability like these four did. I get the feeling ill be an old man by the time something like happens again

It's not that hard to find fighters more dedicated and disciplined than Duran.

He was no Hagler/Hopkins when it came to living right and training hard for every fight.

Duran was just one cog though. and he made that foursome that amazing. people try to criticize him and say he was lazy but he was a warrior. he was a part of something amazing

    You can be both.

Look at Gatti. When he was giving us great fights in the mid to late 90s, by his own admission, he spent way too much time in camp partying instead of training.
