    pure hater....instead of giving what you think the man is....you can only give someone who u "think" is better.

    its clear you will do anything to make sure the man won't receive a bit of credit because you are insecure about Pac....look Pac is great too...its ok to give props to his nemesis....your a boxing fan right...relax they are just asking how good technically he is...no one said he is better than Pac or greater...let your guard down....:lol:

    As always,
    1=Michiganwarrior
    10=SN****ingV

    9 for Mayweather. His flaws can be overcome by his pure skill.

    But if MW considers being a **** and a woman beater as skill, I say 6.

    jab=8
    uppercut=8
    hook=8
    straight=10
    defense=10
    chin=10 as of now (due to his solid d)
    footwork=9
    handspeed=9
    lateral movements=8
    counters=10
    agility=10
    stamina=10
    getting floored=1

    obviously Floyd is supremely skilled to the point where he almost has a 6th sense in the ring as IMO the truly elite fighters do.

    I see no reason not to give him a 10. Like HE says, there is yet a game plan that can beat him. He has yet to lose. Just like Roy Jones in his prime. People could say he had horrible defense, but his cat like reflexes and amazing speed and power made that a moot point. Floyd may not "sit on his punches" but he is absolutely the best fighter in the sport until he loses his prime or another game plan is better than his. So I will buck the trend with "there's always improvement" as that is obvious as any fighter would have that. SRR, RJJ, Ali, et al could have all been "better" in a "category." But right now, FMJ is a 10. Love him or hate him.

    Then 10 means nothing.

    I'd like to give Pep a 10, but he's not perfect, no boxer is.

    Floyd lost amateur fights, almost lost to a chump southpaw early in his career and has been the recipient of a gift decision.

    He's a solid 9 for sure, but to say he's as good as a boxer could possibly be is a stretch.

    love him or hate him but you can't say he is the best fighter in the sport when Pacquiao has been running around doing the things he is doing. Noone ever beat Calzaghe but that didn't make him the best in the sport. I'm not saying Floyd is the same as Calzaghe but your reasoning would apply. "he is absolutely the best fighter in the sport until he loses his prime or another game plan is better than his." It doesn't work that way. People put too much stock into being undefeated.

    I don't think 10 means perfect. It just means as great as it gets.

    People are forgetting his great athletic ability. To discount this would be foolish. People like Bhop and Toney are easier to gauge as they have average to good athletic ability. I rate Bhop and Toney at least on par because of this and the fact they are fighting into there early 40s and beating much younger guys shows it. Look at Toney, an overweight and out of shape fighter with decent athletic abilty throughout his career has shown great skill against fighters much bigger and stronger than him. If he hadnt faced a freak like RJJ then things would have been different.

    I give Floyd an 8 because he could have a better offensive game. He has yet to stop a top WW despite dominating them.

    Where is he hating? Sometimes you need to compare to someone else to make a point. Im no Bhop fan but he clearly is a boxing master. He doesn't have outstanding athletic ability and even when he was in his physical prime, he was good at best. To make guys much younger and in there prime average by pure boxing skill is an amazing feat.

    Floyd is an outstanding talent, he has a very high skill level but he is also gifted with great athletic ability. People wheel out the usual "he's got an amazing defense" line, but if you look at his movement and reactions, they are very prime RJJesque still.

    read the thread...it asked where do u rate him..not who was better...if he thinks B Hop is better cool....no problem...but.....he cant even utter where Floyd would rate only who is better all he had to say was Floyd is a 8 or 9....im not sure how long u been here....but i question Philla about his hate for Floyd because its so obvious.....yet he denies it every chance he gets...then he will say im only being objective because his fans overrate him.....yea yea.

    actually I was talking about Hopkins and Floyd in that post, nothing to do with Pac.

    You're the one who needs to let his guard down.

    and I rated Floyd a 10 from the beginning. So you just talked some dumb ass bull****.

    sure....:good

    play that game and i know u were talking about Floyd and B-Hop...but every thread crediting Floyd u blaze in to try and discredit....thats just what u do. You can not stand when its pac's direct nemesis gets credit...you hate it....just admit it.

    Yes i know u voted for Floyd...but thats just it you gave him a 10 which is the highest..so how the hell is B-Hop better when ten is the max? At best they are equal yet you felt the need to say he's better....you dont like Floyd to get his just due.

    If there was any boxer to give a perfect 10, it would be Floyd. He can do it all. EVERYTHING in the book. (even things outside the book) I'll go with a 9.5 though, as he could maybe do a little bit more to take out his opponents. I think he'll prove to be a 10 in the next couple of fights, though.
