Brian Magee in Belfast . . . anyways

Joe beat 7 former world champs and 2 current champions who were young and in their prime. He beat a guy who is still to this day cleaning up the Light heavyweight division aswell as the only man ever to beat Carl Froch.

Top that of with a decade of being WBO champ ontop of unifying the 168 division (only man so far to do so) whilst moving up in weight and beating two American ATGs (all be it one of them was pretty much shot) and remaining undefeated then yes id say he is hall of fame worthy.

Yes joes career did fall short from where he could have gone but still its not as bad as people make out. the fact that 2 fighters on his resume are still considered to be one of the best and if not the best in their respective divisions and another 2 still managing to gain title shots (Manfredo-Chavez, Bika-Ward) proves that he wasnt the bum that people say he was.

Seriously you internet warriors are too quick to judge fighters

    Of course he is...
Why is it that sooo many threads are made about him, trying to damage his rep years after retirement like this one if he didn't make an impact on boxing?
He beat a couple of (past their prime) greats, and also beat the rest.

I've seen boxers been put in for much less achievements

Really tough one for me to be honest

Like all fighters who could possibly go into the Hall of Fame, I just look at Barry McGuigan and say - "yes"

Joe didn't fight the best when they were at their prime.

Hatton did, but Joe was a far better boxer than Hatton lets be honest!

Joe scrapes in to the BHOF in my opinion, I just wish he had his defining fight against Jeff lacy when he was 21 not 31

    gottcha :good

but the US coastline was still the same distance away no matter when he fought him. calzaghe still didn't chase fights there even when the lacy win gave him a profile there.
