He can be hurt, stunned and dropped, no doubt about it. But now it's going to take a lot of punishment to keep him down. Before the tenth Maidana was landing clean, hard shots to Khan's head and body, and Judah landed a massive counter right hook at the end of the first round in their fight, that Khan took without much problem. His conditioning has improved leaps and bounds since he was getting dropped by guys like Willie ****ing Limond at 135, and the proof is there to see. Khan's "chin" is pretty damn decent now, nothing special, but I would classify it as good.
There were two more rounds after the 10th, and Khan managed to rally enough to win one of them and make the other one close :huh
Damn, this has got to be the worst case of glass jaw denial I have ever seen!!:rofl Khan has only had 8 fights since he got starched. And half of those fights - against ***an, Kotelnick, Salita, and Malinaggi - were with opponents not known for their punching power, and a fourth against a washed up great (Barrera) moving up from lighter weights. Judah, also, turned out to be past his best. Maidana is the only guy who one could legitimately say was a hard-hitter in his prime. And his punching power is itself VASTLY overrated, as witnessed by his failure to KO an ancient Erik Morales. Eight fights against known light-hitters and guys who were past their prime is hardly justification for concluding that Khan somehow has acquired a solid chin. It is still GLASS, waiting to be cracked. Which it WILL be!:yep
Eh? Judah was a hard hitter at every stage of his career. Huge hitter? No. But hard? Yes. And if Maidana is also overrated, then who does have a good dig at 140? Remember ****** you said Khan would never win a world title and would be destroyed everytime he fought a half decent puncher. People who actually know the sport tried to tell you that other aspects of a fighter can overcome weaknesses and that Khan might well win world titles even if he was KOd again. Patterson won the heavyweight world title, Hearns had a great career...but your obsession means that you never see past the same old ****. Even sadder is that you cannot even enjoy a great talent because you go into every fight he has wanting him to lose by KO just so you can say "told you so" like some child despite being wrong over and over again. You'd have been predicting Ali would lose by KO in every fight he had after the first Cooper one and missed out enjoying an amazing career for what it was due to entering every bout obsessed with seeing him starched.
I got no problems with Mayweather bro. Roger says some stupid **** at times, but Floyd is great to watch in the ring.
Khan has had a history of being stunned and dropped way before the Prescott loss, so I highly doubt he had been draining himself in weight during that entire time. Remember guys, even after Prescott he had two more fights at that weight – ***an and Barrera. If it really was that bad, they would have moved him up sooner. But with that said, I won’t completely disregard the idea that 135 probably didn’t do him any favours. His move up to 140 seems to have made him less vulnerable and better conditioned. But even then, it still doesn’t dispel the fact that he does indeed have a below average chin. I mean, an old, faded Morales was able to take Maidana’s bombs without buckling, but a young, energetic, prime-conditioned Khan couldn’t? I know Morales is more savvy and experienced in absorbing shots, but that there tells us Khan’s chin is probably at the bottom of the list when looking at his top attributes.
And **** it, if he does indeed have a glass jaw, then I guess that makes his achievements at 140 even more impressive. You'd have to be a very determined and talented fighter to dominate world-class operators whilst harbouring a hampering weakness like that.
