I think this shows he just wants to cash out knowing he'll lose again, if he thought he could win and get bigger fights he'd take the offer. Fighting Bute is just like fighting Martinez again - he won't win and he knows it. He think's he's worth more than 1.1million - I don't, maybe he'll make more, but the longer he's away from the sport the less significance his name brings and the worse he'll get physically. There is a chance he's blown his last big shot, because the Ward-Froch winner may well square off with Bute and that'll take 12months or longer to see who comes out on top. Who can Pavlik fight in the meantime? Maybe Kessler but I'm not sure he makes more than 1m for that either

Stick a fork in Pavlik he's done, he'll be a punchbag for Ward/Bute/Dirrell whichever pays him the most to use him as a punchbag

Yes he is being a *****. He's taking an easy fight instead of a tough one vs Bute. No matter his reasons its a ***** move. The fans want Kessler vs Bute now!!!! Not when its best for Kessler pockets to take the fight and when he's ready to retire in case he loses.

 

I don't know what makes anybody think Dirrell would even touch Bute. Nobody wants this guy. Froch is maybe the only one at 168, who will w/out a doubt get in there with him.

 

With one tune up fight, I'd favor Dirrell over Bute....the Pavlik VS Bute was just a way to sell Bute in the USA.

 

I don't blame Kess, he's spiralling down and its best for him and his family that he makes most of his chances and collects.

He's fought so many times in disadvantageous situations, now that he finally tries to make money people like you are totally discrediting him. Whatever, he's just doing what so many other greats have done throughout the years, they're no different, bitches too I suppose?

 

I wasnt trying to get the Bute fans riled up but I agree. Bute never seen anything like what Dirrell will throw at him. And if slow ass Magee could land that southpaw left hand over and over and over again on Bute Dirrell will do the same except Dirrell is 100x faster and hits 100x harder then Magee.
