Who's the best Britsh Boxer at the moment?

Haha cool pic and ok apologies, a bit OTT. But i just think its the usual lazy generalisation you get from people on here that Froch was lucky to beat Taylor. He wasn't, he earned it. If you watch the fight you will see that it was sustained pressure from the 9th on by Froch that eventually made Taylor fold. The Taylor stamina thing doesn't hold much weight. He was perfectly able to go the full 12 against Lacy at 168lbs in his previous fight and you could argue that Lacy is actually more of a come forward pressure type fighter than Froch. And if Froch didn't stop Taylor after dropping him then im sure he would be saying he should of won then !

 

And where exactly did I say he was lucky???? Far from it in fact.

I think you putting far to much stock into one word I used (the word should), and you've gone completely off on a tangent arguing a point that I dont disagree with at all.

The reasons above are what makes him a brilliant fighter, but as an all round boxer I put Khan just ahead. But like I said there is nothing in it.

I'd say they were all pretty even Stevens at them moment to be honest.

Haye getting outpointed to a giant prime Wlad doesn't change much just as Khan beating up a shot Judah doesn't.

Khan's showing a lot of potential (if we remove potential then Khan falls behind), but Froch has possibly the more solid wins under his belt.

Taking into account everything, particularly potential, which is very much on Khan's side out of the three, I'd say they were all pretty much neck and neck right now.

 

Just one solitary vote for David Haye?!

Neither Khan nor Froch have come ever remotely close to facing the equivalent of a prime Wlad yet.

Pre-Wlad Haye would have more than probably been voted number one!!

 

Khan ahead of Froch; I'd say Khan is in a more talent fueled division and is ahead in his respected division compared to Froch.

So obviously from an unbiased view it has to be Khan!

 

Froch by resume but Khan by ability.

It's true Haye has achieved more than Froch and Khan... But this is the ESB, where opinions are based on their love/hate for boxers and where people make immediate reactions.

Errr no he wasn't:

No Valuev wasn't close to hitting the canvas.

Sure he got wobbled with a good punch temporarily........but Valuev recovered in about 5 seconds and Haye had no follow up punches landing on Valuev jaw.

Wobbling with a good shot...........and being close to hitting the canvas are 2 VERY different things!
