Knowing they can only fit 18 000 for boxing and won't really raise ticket prices, they could only hope to achieve 1.75 to 2 million max at the gate. That's a fact reported in Montreal on many occasions. Showtime will provide 2 million to broadcast and Canadian PPV money is almost irrelevant in the process. Pavlik was guaranteed at least 1.35 million against Bute but since he is given 40% of all revenues, it could very well be more, depending on the official gate and Canadian PPV generated. The $1.35 million guarantee means that they planned on generating at least $3 375 000. If they made 4 million in revenues, the Pavlik Team would get more or less $1 600 000, and so on...

He can't even sell out a rinky dink arena in his hometown and he's claiming $1M+ is peanuts. This guy fell off quick. Top Rank is going to drop him and he's going to be blackballed from HBO and Showtime.
