I think that the Mayweather-Ortiz PPV will go over the 1.4 million that Mosley-Mayweather did rather easily. This card is stacked.

I also think that once 24/7 rolls around that Ortiz personality is going to steal the show

    Canelo vs. Gomez

    Morales vs. Matthysse

    Vargas vs. Lopez

    Mayweather vs. Ortiz

What are your guys thoughts? How many PPV buys do you think this card can reach?

Easily. This is a monster PPV with explosive fights, Ortiz and Gomez will both put up a fight while we all know what Morales is all about. And I read (haven't seen confirmation) that Gonzalez vs. Rojas is on the card as well, I mean what more do you want? This card cannot possibly go wrong and GBP, HBO and Time Warner are promoting so. It's gonna be HUGE.

    I say 1,8M.

I'm thinking no less than 1.4, between 1.5-1.6. Will have to see the hype and whatnot closer to the fight though...

900,000. they can sell it as a fight all they want and the public will look at the betting odds and know whats up.

Reading the thread title I was thinking...YOU gotta be kidding me if you think that!
Reading the entire card though...It's very possible. That is a pretty stacked card with huge draws.
Unfortunately though, if this card does draw above 1.4 mil, or some outrageous number, it'll be another giant reason Pac/ Mayweather never gets made. Mayweather's going to say how he drew such and such with Ortiz, he's the bigger draw (nevermind the fact Canelo and Morales is on this card drawing huge numbers), and then we got this crap again with who gets the most money.
MARK MY WORDS....If this fight draws over 1.4 mil then money will be Floyd's #1 reason for not fighting Pac. Not sure if it'll happen anyway, but it doesn't need more obstacles.

    Here's the challenge.

I text my casual fan friends and ask "you think Ortiz can beat Mayweather"

When I get back 4 or 5 "who is ortiz" texts, it's done.

    1.1 max.

Mayweather Marquez did over 1 million, thinking with the stacked card this could go over 1.4. Same selling point as last one, someone with power able to knock Floyd out. Seeing how he performs against a southpaw after the layoff should be another selling point. I think this does well.

    Some morales.

    I'm talking casual guys.

People who would have ordered DLH vs Mayweather.

They maybe are up to order a pacquiao fight if it's vs a margarito or cotto, but i'm pretty sure marquez is even under their radar.

Yeah i understand. Of course this is not DLH but what were the numbers for Marquez?

    Wasn't it 1.4?
Ortiz can do that (espacially with that undercard)
