I think guys like Khan are the front runner but for entertainment it would be Kevin Mitchel I also think Ricky Burns would be in top ten so for me it would be Khan Burns Mitchel Froch kell brookes
You're spot on mate. On any fair card it was a close fight by the time of the stoppage too. 1. Froch 2. Khan 3. Haye.
Pre Klitschko fight many thought Haye was certainty to stop Wlad (Not me) It's not dissimilar to the stock market.......a boxers stock goes up and down on the basis of their last fight.
I think Cleverly can surpass Haye with a named win , if the Bellew fight doesnt happen I honestly do For me its a toss up between Khan and Froch , id lean towards Khan just because stylistically he's more attractive than Froch , but Froch is a true warrior , who defines the word fighter . Close one ............
Doesn't that maybe counter the argument.... If you're not the favourite then generally you're seen to have less ability then your opponent. It's quite irrelevant to be honest whether you're the favourite going in or not. Does that make Pacquiao/Mayweather worse fighters because they are always favourites....
In general I agree with you, but don't think Froch gets the credit he deserves from some in regards to his skills. His last 2 or 3 performances really impressed me. That combined with the level he's fought at with success over the last 3 years or so earns Froch my vote. I'm sure he's well chuffed with that.
A lot of people think Froch has come up with this new boxing ability out of nowhere in light of his performances against Abraham and Johnson. Thats really not the case. Watch his fights against Dodson, Magee and Reid and you will see that he has quite good technical ability and in my opinion is of the best and most underated counterpunchers around. He has one of the most sneakiest and spiteful uppercuts ( when he is not throwing it from a crazy position ). Ok the 3 guys i mentioned above are not elite level but Froch always had very good technical ability when he elects to use it. Always catches fellas when he has this couldn't be arsed/ nearly going to sleep expression on his face and then bang...catches them big. Hope Ward falls for that trick :yep
Khan has just taken it with his latest unification win. But he seriously needs PR coaching prior to doing interviews if he wants to actually build fans instead of turning ppl against him. Haye hasnt been very convincing at HW and put in disappointing/negative performances in his 2 biggest fights at the weight. Froch has been up and down in his last 5 fights - he gets the nod in terms of competition but he could easily be 2-3 in those bouts. Taylor took him to school for the majority of the fight, gift decision vs Dirrell and a clear loss to Kessler.
