Marquez mayweather was 1 million buys.

You should remember the infamous "I did 1 million by myself" when Pac/cotto was 1.25

Mayweather has been out long enough to sell a million against anyone. The card looks good, and I imagine it does about a million and a half, give or take a bit.

    Yeah.

    It was 1 mil.

It was outdone by pac/cotto 2 months later (sept vs nov) and Mayweather had to respond.

1.1 Million. Get it right. In a fight many viewed as a mismatch. Mayweather vs Mosley did 1.3 million.

With the undercard and the Mexican fanbase believing Ortiz has a chance it has an excellent chance of doing 1.4 million.

Cotto bigger than Marquez for sure...

But im not really in these numbers battles :D

One thing for sure, I'M buying this one.
The addition of Morales-Mathysse makes this one of the best PPV in recent year.

What about Gonzalez vs Rojas? Is this fight definitely not gonna be on the undercard?

I think boxing is the only sport where anyone cares how many other people are watching. Surely this has to be a recent phenomenon?

I'm buying it, but more because it's a stacked card and it'll (hopefully) be worth the money to me as a boxing fan. My more "casual fan" friends, I dunno if they'll be interested.

    AHah lucky

The thing people forget here is that Ortiz "ALMOST" got rid of Maidana easily.

Damn that was a good one.
    Maidana is so tough.
and I think Ortiz got back on track.
Of course he'll never erase that quit (especially for the haters) but he really looked genuine on the face off about how the critics motivated him.

"Typically, the figures increase by up to 10 percent over a period of months after an event, as data trickles in, so it would not be unexpected if Mayweather-Marquez lands somewhere in the range of 1.1 million sales and $57 million in revenue by mid-2010."

Avatar bet? On boxing numbers? I'd rather bet that Cotto next opponent after Margarito actually has 2 working legs.

I have been to a few fights (5 or 6 I think) and I never heard the punches before.

I heard Maidana's punches land on Ortiz. It was brutal. I came back on the next day talking about it.
