SRL V Roy Jones: Who was the most sensational and talented?

yeah I agree. He was almost so good at eluding punches that he didn't have to get in the trenches and fight, so he didn't , and it almost limited his career. Being too good hurt him.

 

Ray was the better fighter.

But as far as sensational and talented? No one has EVER made me sit there with a stunned look on my face and just say "...wow" as much as Roy Jones Jr.

He was unbelievable.

Now that can be attributed to opposition if you so choose to do so, but if I'm choosing one highlight reel over another, I'm going with Roy.

Leonard was just better. Raw talent, technical skills, fortitude, whatever - he was better.

 

Jones was better. No doubt.

 

Jones was better than Leonard? No way.

 

exactly. better qualities to be a fighter. He put it all together much better than Jones did.

 

What would have happened if Leonard had fought Jones at MW instead of Hagler.

Jones has a better defense, more speed, more P4P power, hard to read his punches (Leonard can telegraph a little), better left hook. Leonard has a better chin, a better jab, maybe better footwork but what else? :huh
