Yeah right. I think it comes from the fanboys. They use the numbers to justify their love for their favourite. Outside of that it's not a lot of people are caring. Myself i find the question interesting just for the guessing game.
I believe the card will do over 1.4 million..ima say 1.5 million.. However I do think that the undercard has very little to do with it.... MOST people ordering are "casual fans" thus the undercard does not appeal to them as much...or should I say the names on the undercard... I do think it will do more than 1.4 million as it will be heavily promoted.. I also think it generates more revenue than any fight made this year...MAYBE Pac Marquez does better, maybe!:hat
The world wants to see Mayweather lose. When they see previews of Ortiz knocking down every opponent that he's faced , they will see Mayweather getting knocked out. The mexicans and hispanics LOVE Canelo. The mexicans and hispanics LOVE Morales. HBO, GBP and Time Warner. This will do 1.7 mil! **** the haters. . . haha
I agree. I don't think the undercard does much more than excite hardcore fans. I think it'll be 1.4 max, possibly as low as 1.2. I don't think Ortiz will generate more buys than Mosley. Mayweather isn't any more popular now and the Mosley fight wasn't great. Plus, it's football season, full slate of college games that night. May fights don't have that competition.
Sorry guy but u are wrong, canelo alvarez vs gomez wont be FM vs VO undercard, it will be in LA the same day :deal
They're really trying to make it go that high .... Mayweather's ticket to asking for more than 50/50 against pac is trying to sell more PPVs... the Undercard is stacked though. No doubt Mayweather/Pac needs to be 50/50 , but lets see if Mayweather will do 50/50 if his ppv sells more.
