Actually, it's was more than $1.1 million. Arum confirmed today that Pavlik was guaranteed at least $1.35 million to fight Bute. It really is a disgrace.

 

So, you would pay for a Kessler fight over Pavlik?

Remember, Kessler is the guy that almost got Slapped The **** Out.

 

It depends on who he's fighting. Kelly was supposed to fight a fighter without a big name not a top flight fighter, so how much money does he think he should get? if he wins he would face Bute then he would make some serious cash.

 

what makes him think he deserves 3.5? he aint kessler. LOL

 

Not sure whats up here but PAvlik is a pretty big name and comes to fight every time. Nothing wrong with Pavlik looking for a payday. I'm sure hes not going to lose sleep because it bothers a few guys on the internet.

 

OH ok, I missed the part that he dropped out of a contracted fight. More specifics in a thread would be nice.

 

That's not the way it works. A fighter that can put asses in the seats gets the big payday. Just look at Roy Jones Jr career and how much he made for fighting civil servants.

 

they say he only put 1000 folks in the seats for saturday. some poster said it earlier

Edit: I am going to look for a source on this. I just can't believe that only a thousand people bought tickets in his hometown.
