arum says its far worst than money issues. the dude has mental problems as well. drinkiing seemed to fug his arse up. he doesnt want to fight any more according to arum. arum says he doesnt even talk to his dad any more. hes got a lot of issues to resolve. arum says he was going half-ass in training. his head is not in it
They'll get over it. Pavlik is still very much a marketable name, much more name recognition then Bute. Take my word for it. Kelly Pavlik WILL fight again, and most likely with a bout with much more fan appeal. :yep
You realize no network is going to touch him now? HBO already wants nothing to do with him and now he has pissed off Showtime. He very well may fight again but it is going to be in some obscure dump and off of TV.
All this training must have been interfering with pavliks drinking time, best thing to do is take some time out, go on a few benders, chill out a bit, then go again
pavlik heard the term "liquid refreshment" and he thought it would be good for his boxing, hed feel refreshed and be able to train more
How did I blame it on blacks? I think it's funny that yet another American, this time a white hick for a change who used to be a small town feel-good story, is now acting like so many of his greedy countrymen. Kelly doesn't even have the recent resume to defend it.
Not trying to defend Pavlik or anything (I think what he did was wrong)... But I would calm down on the booze jokes... This is a disease. What's so funny laughing at someones' disease?
Sorry, I had a stupid moment. Juggling too many tasks. For some reason, I thought he was to face Steve Cunningham, not Darryl, which is why I said the fight was much too dangerous. Now that my mind is right, I have to agree there is no reason for Pavlik not to have kept the warm up with Darryl Cunningham and renog. financials for Bute. I feel badly for Cunningham. He is a good fighter with not too much pop, but great ring skills. Perhaps, Showtime should match Bute up with Cunningham. That would be a good competitive bout, and Darryl has actually fought and beaten names.
