Yeah, I heard the same thing, a shame for a genuine world champion, our genuine world champion, Australia's heaviest 'genuine' world champ, that I know of, in a tough era of the light heavy division. An under rated and under appreciated fighter to boot.

100% agree and to this day I have never forgot the 12th round in the first Andries fight.
The hair on my neck is standing up now just remembering it.

There were a couple of people about 12 months ago trying to help him out and things started to look up

He was on the contender for one episode and had a good person backing him

for some reason it didn't work out.

He was involved recently with a PCYC fundraising at the Glebe club

but other then that not too much has been heard

one of the saddest stories in boxing , should have a nice home in suburbia , model wife and 3 kids and be running a pub or a small business and doing a bit of colour commentating at boxing nights , living the life of riley.

I AGREE EXCEPT THIS BIT :hey

Terrific fighter and is overlooked by the general sports fan

My 3 favourite fighters of the 80's early 90's were Fenech, Harding and Troy Waters

Troy Waters would have to go down as one of our finest fighters never to win the world title. Came close in the Norris bout........oh so close had Terrible Terry on ***** street for a while. Great fighter ol Troy boy.

Not only that but Terrible Terry was no3 P4P at the time they fought...... Very similar to the Katsidis v JMM fight both knocking down top 5 P4P's at that time.
