David Haye and Carl Froch both talk massive amounts of ****, more than Khan. But it's ok though, they're just "selling the fight" and "confident"

No wonder Khan ****ing hates a lot of the British public (not all of them mind you... more a very vocal minority), they treat him like **** and expect him to slip up at every turn just so they can laugh in his face and turn around and say "I told you so!"

There is no unconscious hate dude, I rate Khan and will follow him, I just smell a rat at times.

I'm an Hatton fan but I don't feel he ever failed his fans v mayweather and pacman, he gave his all and it wasn't enough, its not exactly like losing to prescott is it? If Khan wa to lose to mayweather, I wouldn't consider that fail, I would just be happy that he's prepared to fight the best (which I'm sure Khan is).

I just get the feeling Khan is more interested in pleasing Muslims, and Americans, more than he is the market he is milking the most, Britain.

I don't know about the charity work but if that true then that is brilliant, especially if that gym is just as much for white Brits, as it is for Muslim Brits.

I appreciate your honesty, though I think there was plenty of hate for Haye as well, though Haye is obviously happy to market himself as the pantomine villain like Mayweather.

A large number of British fans are in fact closet racists, they hate on Amir Khan for no good reason. EVERY single time Khan prepares for a fight, there are people on ESB going absolutely nuts about his chin, they WANT hit to get cracked again so they can laugh at the brown man. A large majority of these "fans" are british

In the British public in general, people lost interest in Khan after he got knocked out. He never received the support he needed, instead he was hailed as a joke by MANY, (including myself). But in America he seems to be the next big thing in boxing with a clear goal in mind, which is why hed rather chill there than come back to Britain and receive cold racist receptions

Good post dude, though i know Hatton gets plenty of **** from the chincheckers too.

some good points though which re-inforces my belief that Khan does infact have a difficult relation with the British market and probably only perists with Britain to milk it financially.

I think Khan might aswell milk it, because at the end of the day he puts forth a great effort in every fight. Add that to mix along with a questionable chin, and that makes every fight exciting

He's so selfish that he spent 700,000 out of his own pocket to build a gym to keep children of the streets in bolton, focusing there energy on something positive.

He is so selfish and arrogant that he provides children with computing facilities and homework classes to help them build a bright future.

He is such a bad human being that he holds charity dinners everytime he gets the chance to all over UK.

He is so selfish that he donates large amount of his money to help people overcome the natural disaster that happened in haiti, the tsunami in indonesia and the floods in ****stan.

He is such a ***** to his english fans yet he never refuses an autograph or a photo.

He is such an arrogant fool that he takes time out of his own schedule to visit sick children who have cancer in hospitals just to make there day.

Only recently the "Arrogant", "Selfish" khan offered his gym to Gallagher and his fighters to use for FREE, the same people who criticised khan for everything he did in his career.

I agree with you he is one horrible person isn't he?

I think the issues are firstly being a Muslim and secondly overcompensating for that by trying to please everyone. Amir isn't the brightest guy in boxing but I believe he's a good lad and good for boxing.

I think if anything the public are confused about Khan. He was thrust into the limelight when he was still young, and since then has often been very diplomatic in interviews and such to the point where people may not know much about his actual personality. I haven't worded this very well but he hasn't shown (to the public at least) the defined personality of a Hatton, Haye or Froch. With those guys you know what you're getting

This. And theres nothing wrong with him doing that.

Im sure he used to wear Union Jack shorts when fighting. This was an attempt to nuetralise any race issues imo. Thankfully now hes on the world stage these have gone.

Much of whats been said is true. He had it fairly easy when turning pro and can say some stupid things unintentionally. Still, good luck to him. He's an immensely talented boxer.

If a notable amount of my own people disliked me, I too would pack my bags and go to a place where hardwork and success is celebrated, not hated. I mean, the reception he got from the British fans in the Barrera fight, was appalling.

But with that said, there are a good amount of people in the UK that do appreciate him. It's them who he probably values and is willing to come back and fight in front of. Of course, he's doing it for the money first and foremost, but considering he's a prizefighter, that's his job, isn't it? Haye, Hatton, Lewis, etc, they all took advantage of their nationality to make money, so why can't Khan?

I wish people would shut the **** up with the excuses. Its just how people assume him to be. Just because he didn't want to fight for peanuts from Sky, he is "greedy". Just because he has some goals and wants to fight Mayweather in a year or two he is "arrogant" and when he expresses some self-belief in himself and his abilities and what he has achieved, he is "cocky".

People dislike Amir Khan for one reason or another, its that simple. There is no overall problem with him, people are just nit-picking at absolute ****. And what are you talking about? Milking the British public? Yeah, he fights on PrimeTime, the company that shows his fights... How is that milking the British public?

If you want to accuse somebody of milking the public, look no further than David Haye.

I don't see why Khan is disliked by people. If people actually listened to him in interviews, I don't know how you can call him cocky, he always comes across as very humble, never calls anybody out and is currently proving he wants to fight the best he can get into the ring with him. And has provided us with some very exciting fights, and some great fights to look forward to in the future. And, he is only 24 years old.

Yet, people are still making up ****, assuming utter bollocks and hating on him anyway. And you wonder why he thinks he is under-appreciated? :patsch

Amir is a very skilled fighter. Him and "Khan Promotions" ****ed themselves up big time by leaving Sky Sports and going to Primetime.

I hate james DeGale. Nothing to do with the fact that he is black.

I didn't like his behaviour towards Groves and he arrogant deminor inside and outside the ring

khan deserves no abuse what so ever. He calls out the best, fights the best, is exciting and praises his opponents before and after the bell
