Absolutely. It was iron in his prime but the fact that he was starched by a MW that threw an uppercut while standing up tells me that his punch resistance is all but gone.

So even though a guy that's been pummeled by HWs got basically one-punched by a MW, albeit a very hard-hitting MW, you don't believe his punch resistance is waning?

I thought, and still think it was a bit early. But nothing horrible and you can clearly see the reasoning behind it.

geez MM, you do get annoying with those jawbone references, you post like a fairly intelligent man, but always come up with the same boring analysis. According to you, even with no combat credentials at all I could be the HW champ weighing 185 pounds if I had an iron chin.

I've never made a statement like the above bolded words because while I do believe that proper punch resistance is a critical component to a succesful prizefighting career, without skills to go along with it one ends up being a professional punching bag like Chuvalo. On the flipside, however, all the skills in the world won't keep a Glass Jawed Joke upright forever.

And I wasn't referencing Fedor's newfound Fragile Glass Mandible in any analysis because if we're analyzing why he lost it will be a combination of diminished speed and reflexes, an apathetic reaction to being handled in the clinch and forced against the cage, and, yes, the fact that he can't take a punch like he used to, not just "he lost because his Chin sucks now".

No but the novelty of your obviously provocative post in a blatantly nuthugging thread to get a reaction is waning though

Dont pretend you dont know what you are doing young man, I wasnt born yesterday

meh all in all you just have too much time on your hands imo, always posting paragraphs to justify your previous trollike thinking.

I'll admit, I made the post a bit more barbed than I would have had the TS not been a Grade AAA nuthugger but that was nothing more than an honest opinion. Fedor's game has slipped technically, he's no longer a calculating artist but a face-first brawler, and his physicality has fallen off, as well.

This is a guy who is widely revered as one of the toughest and best HWs of all-time and he got one-shotted by a MW so what does that tell you? One of two things, either he was incredibly overrated or he's not the same as he once was and part of not being the same at the end of one's career is not taking the same kind of punches that one used to.

You act as if a paragraph or two takes an incredibly long time to think of and type.

you do type walls of text in a lot of threads though. anyways i'll go back to just read/skip your posts, they got tedious a long time ago. You should just try some diversity in your arguments, your credibility is affected, for whatever it's worth.

I always type a well detailed argument because one sentence with my opinion and nothing more isn't very convincing. And if you think my credibility is affected by calling a Glass Jaw when I see one, regardless of the clear and well-supported arguments I make that don't pertain to Glass Jaws, then I could care less about your opinion. Glass Jaws Exist in MMA and when they get cracked, I'll call it.:happy

No, it wasn't stopped too late. It was stopped as soon as Wanderlei hit the mat and Rampage just decided to ignore the ref's bodylock on him and continued to swing away with three more. Watch it again and you'll see that it wasn't poor officiating but a sleazeball move on Jackson's part.
