he was able to land it at will against whitaker who is slicker than pac and yes margarito without plaster is 10% of what tito was

pac is getting way overrated by his fans by beating old over the hill fighters.. he hasnt done **** in a while but that's where boxing is today there a talent vacuum so he's all we got now and people overrate the **** out of him

    :hat

    That's how I see it.

Tito lacked a right hand, and Pacquiao is the faster man, and could exploit that weakness but Titos pressure, his chin, and how he kept his hands up imo would eventually corner Pacquiao and break him down slowly.

Could Pacquiao win this fight? There is an outside chance he couldve outboxed Tito, but it took 12 rounds for Hop to stop Tito, and he hit Tito all fight, and barely got hit. Could Pacquiao do the same? I just don't see it.

Tito by 9th round tko. This us subject to change should Pacquiao beat Floyd. Tito loved when you came at him, and he had decent hand speed to match Pacquiaos superb hand speed.

Good post, but Tito did not lack a right hand. He was a two handed pressure fighter.

Tito did not have what I would call a natural right hand. Shane had a right hand, Dlh didn't. Forrest did, but Cotto doesn't. Sugar Leonard did but Ike Quartey didn't.

These guys that I say didn't have natural right hands did throw the right hand, but are/were primarily left hookers.

Natural or not, he still used his right hand often enough to not be called a 'one handed fighter'. But good point.

Just because he preferred one, does not mean he lacked the other though.

Tito used his right hand a lot against Sweet Pea and Camacho..thats pretty relevant here.

Used it the finish off Carr, Joppy, actually favoured it against Barnes doubling and tripling it, ****ed up Reid's face with it and scored or set up several knockdowns with it throughout his career.

Certainly he is a left hook happy fighter...but I just can't accept he wasn't dangerous with the right either.

Against the elite fighters that he fought, the right hand was not there, and it was not a damaging punch against elite fighters if it landed. He did land a straight right on an older Sweetpea, but it had no power. Again, Tito did use the right hand, but it was not a punch that you said, damn, that's power. I'm talking 1-2 right hand.

Well he did knock him down with a right hand.

I think it was damaging enough though...It was more of an arm punch a lot of the time and he didn't get the same kind of leverage that he put into his left..but it certainly was not some kind of weak punch.

Hopkins and Winky are two of best defensive fighters of their generation...Manny, for all his improvements, is not..Plus I don't think those fights are particularly relevant anyway.
Hoya gave him a hell of a lot of trouble but it must be said that the right was a punch that Tito actually seemed to land consistently later on.

For this specific fight I think it's something Tito will have to use more as Manny is more preoccupied with watching the left and has proven pretty good at shutting the hook down.

Though I think Tito is totally different to anything Manny has taken on at these higher weights...He won't tire like Cotto or Hoya, he won't shell up if he falls behind or gets frustrated like Clottey, Mosley or Cotto and he isn't a washed up punching bag like Margarito.
