I think if Carl wins the fight he will have plenty of time to grow into european level. The winner of Frampton-Kiko must fight Willie Casey in their first defence, and thats a solid, but straight forward winnable fight for Carl.

 

You'd have to ask Carl whether he has an Irish or British passport to get a definitive answer there.

Does ''European level'' really exist anymore anyway?

With the plethora of titles, both at European, interalphabetty and world.... the fact that someone is ''European'' champion as opposed to British champion is kinda moot.

The number of what I'd call ''European class'' fighters is relatively small. Maludrottu, Martinez, Burns, Munroe, Mitchell etc.

 

Its a good step up. He has some skills. His style might get him in trouble vs Kiko but we'll have to find out if he can handle the step up. Barry believes in him thus so will i
