I still can't support him. How can he defend not knowing? He hires a manager to handle this ****, but ultimately it's his career.

There's an interview on fightnews with Loew. If you read between the lines you can see that everyone in his camp thinks it was a terrible move to pull out. $50,000 is more than $0 and he still has to incur all of the expenses related to training camp. Worse than the $50,000 is the tremendous amount of bad publicity and ill will generated by ****ing Showtime over at the last minute. And all of this is over a tuneup. In Youngstown!

I still get a feeling there's important info that we aren't getting. Something is gonna break on this story.

Suppose it's true - which means his own team is totally ****ed up - what's the attorney for, it's a freaking $50k tune-up not a multi-year contract, yet all he cares about is the figure. Bob Arum pulled some major **** over the years but even he stands clueless what went wrong here, I mean he put together a hometown tune-up and brokered a good deal to get back on top, but I think now he's had enough, so did Showtime. Understandable. Like I said, dozens are ready to jump to the opportunity without all the fuss and ****ing around.

I swear some people don't realize how good their life is until hot water runs out. Vazquez and Marquez beat the **** out of each other for around 300k per fight, you listening Kelly?

Pavlik recieved $350K for the Espino fight, and over a mil for both Rubio and Lockett. He doesn't understand Top Rank lost money on Pavlik a few times. As for what Kessler was really offered to fight Bute, it was a little over $700K plus 100% of the Dannish tv rights, no where near 3mill.

50K for a public sparring match isn't bad, especially if it can make you look good and net you a higher pay day down the road. It's called promoting Kelly.

Still don't understand how this guy doesn't know how much he'll be making for a fight until the week of the fight, and then he's the one to *****? I was pulling for Kelly, but his reasoning sounds like bs. Sad thing is, he'll be back needing money and because his heart's not in it anymore, someone like Froch or Kessler will murder him in the ring.

That's still on Pavlik for not having any idea what kind of money he was going to be paid. He had a million plus minimum in his contract that he had to waive for these kind of fights. He just assumed he was going to get Lopez money again?

Yeah because networks and promoters own their ***** er I mean boxers like slave owners own slaves. You box for $50,000, you fight who we tell you to fight, you lose when we match you up with a fighter you can't beat, and for $50,000 because thats what your worthless ass deserves. You should be glad we don't make you fight him for free *****.

No former champion who made millions of dollars for promoters fighting in his home town should make $50,000. Not even Holyfield, Roy Jones, James Toney, should be treated like that.

What did they offer Martinez to fight in that tournament?

No one at that level should be offered $50,000. It's not like Pavlik needs the money. He is a millionaire so what is $50,000?

$50,000 is not decent bread. Wtf? Floyd doesn't have a strap, why don't you ask him to take $50,000?
