I need help learning not to blink when punches are coming at me. I'm getting better at it, but sometimes I'll mess up if a fast punch is coming or if I'm going up against a big puncher in sparring.
I also have contacts and blink all the time because of them naturally even when I'm not boxing, so that may add to my trouble as well.

I noticed the one difference between Mayweather and somebody like Mosley and one reason why Floyd can counter so well is because of this

I understand you can learn to stop from sparring, but is there any drills I can do w/o getting my ass whooped constantly in sparring. I'd like to focus my attention on other things rather than trying to keep my eyes open

I think the thing that helped me overcome blinking while getting my ass whooped is me doing pad drills with people (other than lots of sparring) where I held the pads instead of doing the punching.

This way you get used to seeing punches going towards your direction and not get beaten up to a pulp at the same time.

Focus on looking for openings, if you constantly keep your eyes on your opponant with a view to look for an opening you will start to stop worrying about getting hit and the blinking and/or looking away will go away with time.

-Get yourself a slip bag. When it swings towards you focus on keeping your eyes open and executing a defense

-Do partner drills with him throwing punches and you defending. Start slower and then speed it up

But in general, many people have this when they start. It goes away as you spar more.

I've been doing this thing where I hit the speed bag with my head and focus on keeping my eyes open and it has helped pretty well

This may sound weird but try bending over your tap and turn the water on full blast so when the water hits the sink it bounces up towards you. Try and keep your eyes open

 I may actually do that. That sounds like it would work. I need help still keeping my eyes open for fast movement and one that aren't predictable

you might not want to do this, but my trainer has me keep my eyes open and punches my face very lightly with both hands for a while as i move forward.

As mentioned before, time in sparring. You can also stand close to the DEB and work on slipping while it goes past your head while not blinking. I personally think the only way is to just fight and spar
