You really think that Showtime would have aired the Bouadla fight if it wasnt to then show the Kessler/Bute fight? Bouadla was about the same as Mendy was for Bute and Showtime did not show it.
Sure. I think that is far the most Lucretive option for both fighters. Kessler generates more money at home than bute does and showtime would gladly post 2 mill in the fight in Copenhagen. And I think bute could get a 50-50 split. Would be career high for bute as we are probably talking 4 mill or more depending on tv rights to Scandinavia and Canada.
Ok so what is the problem. If Bute offered 250k$ less than what Kessler deserve, its to Kessler to make a counter offer about it. He didnt and make his tune up fight with a righty instead of a lefty. I think it shows that the problem is not a lowball offer from Bute.
Of course it was a lowball offer. Bute has shown an inability to make deals with anyone. And giving Kessler TV rights in Denmark is like wtf? wouldnt Kessler have those rights anyway for any home fight he has? So then there is the 750.000 from interbox. Ridiculous amount... Interbox have gotten too used to importing random non-hopers to Montreal and seem completely incapable of making fights happen. Also you keep contradicting yourself. Sometimes you say that Showtime wanted to show Bouadla because they saw it as a tuneup to fight bute. Sometimes you claim the opposite ... that Bouadla was a clear rejection of Bute as opponent. Quite pragmatic.... Action speaks louder than words. And talk is cheap... so far bute and his fans are all talk.
Wow, I can now see that facts are not important to you. So even if I dont know you I will just make the same... why use facts? Bute is the best of all time, Kessler is hiding in his momy skirt. You find this is ridiculous? Your right, but read the post on this thread again and you will see that people have tried to put facts in this debate and you just didnt even aknowledge them and saying stupid stuff.
Just because the facts doesn't suit you .. does not make them ridiculous. We can all make a ton of excuses, but the bottom line (and yes.. this IS a fact) is that Bute is 31 - 32 years old and he has still not been able to make a single with with the top 5 in the division. Fact. You may not like it, but fact. Fighters are for sale. Kessler, Calzaghe, Beyer, Froch, RJJ and so on all have been able to make big fights happen. Sometimes they offered far more money than they got, other times they gave home advantage. But they made it happen and did not just lean back and conjur up endless excuses. The world is not out to get Bute. If Bute really wanted the fights enough they could be made. These fighters have track records to prove this. Bute is the one that has been unable to make fights happen... and that is fact.
Well your facts are false since in the first Andrade fight, Andrade was top 5. And when the IBF ask Froch and Bute to fight for the right to fight Berrio, Froch step down and Bute fought Bika. Those are facts, but I guess that your "facts doesnt suit you" is applying to you... Other facts are Kessler took an orthodox fighter as a tune up. When Bute already tried to make an offer for last april. Facts. But Kessler needed a tune up so he said no. Facts. Now after his tune up Interbox send Team Kessler an offer. Facts Kessler team did not negociate. Facts. and push the WBO to be mendatory against Stieglitz. Facts Now if my offer to you is not good enough but you want to make business with me, what will be your next step? Negociate. Kessler Team didnt. Facts
Excuses... like there is some kind of conspiracy to keep bute away from big fights. Yes, Kessler wasn't satisfied with the offer. Some say they gave a similar counter offer. Some say that they found it useless to discuss with Interbox. And yes Froch also did not happen. And yes Pavlik did not happen. and so on... That is all fact. and what can we learn from that? That all of these fighters are unable to make fights happen? or that Bute is unable to make fights happen?
That is a good question. I dont have the answer, I guess you dont too, but instead of sayin it, you go: Bute have problem making fights happen so it means Bute is doing it on purpose. See the difference. I want the big fights to happen. I wish Bute well. I want him to face the best out there. You?
So do I. and I think that it is fairly obvious that Bute is not going all out to make fights happen. Go to Copenhagen! Give Froch 6 mill plus UK TV rights..even if it means only change left for Bute. He needs to understand that he cannot be safely in control and then call it a big fight because these guys will not play like that. Fans defending Bute's unwillingness to take a chance (financial or otherwise) are not doing Bute any favors.
Your asking of him something you would not accept for yourself. Im sorry, but if my boss say, i will pay you 1$ per hour until you show your good, i will go elsewhere and so do you.
Not so. I am in a fairly good position now.. but to get to this point I worked so many hours more than I was asked to and if i had calculated my hourly salary it would have been quite low.. but I looked at it as an investment. Kessler for example took a huge paycut to make the fight with Beyer happen. Fighters do this all the time. Bute needs to understand that it is a give and take and not bute sitting in canada calling the shots.
Bute didn't fight top 5 boxers because either they were stuck in super 6 or, they were ducking him. I mean come on...Pavlik was offered 1.35mil for a title shot in a moment when his career needs it badly and he refuses it saying he wants more money....!?!?!!??!....the only reason for this denial is that KP knew he's gonna get beaten and he's career ended so he thought he'd make more $$$ for this fight to be worth it... then again Kessler comes to Montreal, says he's ready for Bute anywhere anytime, InterBox makes an offer to Kessler, which apparently he didn't like but what does he do???....goes for a tune up fight with a righty and targets Stieglitz( who refused twice official offers to fight Bute)...i mean, you say you're ready for Bute anywhere anytime but you don't try a negociation and you go for a righty...WTF????....that's how much Kessler is ready for Bute....again I assume it's the same reason....wanted to cash-in for a career-ending beating So JoeAverage KP refuses, Kessler refuses, Ward and Froch(i believe the only two with balls to fight Bute) are in S6....wich top fighter is left? if he chooses AA everyones gonna say "oh that guy lost from Ward, Froch and Dirrel that's why Bute chose him" if he takes on Dirrel "oh that guy is no fighter he's an actor" and so on....
I agree with you JoeAverage on one fact... Bute needs to fight a top fighter to proven himself...but why he should fight Kessler for change like you said when he has in his pocket a contract saying that the 3rd fight is with the S6 winner....come on it's just simple logic....you say Bute needs Kessler more than the vice-versa I disagree....the only fighter that Bute NEEDS is the S6 winner...Kessler was a very good fighter but he's past his prime and I say Kessler needs Bute more than Bute needs Kessler....because now everyone is accepting than the TOP3 at smw are Froch, Ward and Bute...in any order you like...so tell me JoeAverage why do you think Bute needs Kessler so badly that he should accept any offer just to make this fight happen??? P.S. I can't believe your location says Montreal....you sure you're not danish or you're living in the UK?
