So let me guess Mosley being shot had nothing to do with that right? Why can't you admit that Mosley's gameplan was sound?:-(

Where was the versatility in the Marquez fights, and first Morales fight?

I never said it didn't. Mosely barely had any chance to employ his gameplan that you think was working so well.

Cotto had the right idea offensively, he just couldn't make Pacquiao miss. Pacquiao actually showed versatility in that fight.

Pitching a near shutout against Mosley does not look "ordinary." It's at worst an ugly win, but it was solid and well above ordinary nonetheless.

Floyd and Pacquiao fought a 'past it' Shane. Who looked better winning? Who gives a ****.

I'm in awe of these posts. How could Manny be more versatile than Floyd? I just dont get it. Do people watch these fights from start to finish, or look at YouTube compilations?

I can't believe this nonsense debate has gone on for 10 pages. To me the people in this thread saying Pacquiao is more versatile than Floyd is like saying Pacquiao is blacker or more american than Floyd. It's just simply for lack of better words NOT TRUE!

I'm not going to list all the different styles I've seen Floyd employ in his arsenal. I'll just ask this one question.

When's the last time you seen Manny Pacquiao a southpaw, fight a professional fight and win while fighting in an orthodox stance? I know I've seen Mayweather go southpaw on numerous occasions.

Versitle - Turning with ease from one thing to another; readily applied to a new task, or to various subjects; many-sided.

I'd say if you apply the definition to types of fighters they face then the obvious choice is Floyd.

However, if you apply the definition to fighter then the choice is not obvious. Floyd is certainly a talented as an inside fighter and a master on the outside but his pace is deliberate and slowed. Floyd will hold as a tactic to avoid getting hit. Manny plays by the rules and doesn't typically resort to holding can and does brawl, Floyd does not, by choice surely, but why? Would he get hit more often if he did not hold. Manny is fast and uses fast combinations his pace is difficult to keep up with. He can also fight a slower and at a deliberate pace. I find them about even measuring them as versatile fighters.

Outside the ring Manny is the obvious choice.
