Bute is a cruiserweight by fighttime anyway, so LHW would make it much more even than fighting a MW.

Pascal immidiately springs to mind. He has called out Bute again.

He should have fought someone half decent by now. He could have joined in the s6 when fighters were dropping out. Johnson did.Now he should be making more effort to fight someone like Dirrell or Kessler or even King Arthur

Assuming this is true, what's you logic?
If he goes to 175 it would be impossible afterwards to get back to 168, assuming he is struggling now.
Is there anyone who would be pleased if Bute leaves SMW now without facing Kessler, Dirrell, Ward or Froch?

So he will have to beg Ward, Froch and Kessler to come to 175?
Be sincere: wouldn't you and 99% of people on this forum say that he ducked the S6 winner or someone "legit" (whatever legit means to you) if he went 175 now?
LE: Also, what's the best division now? Who's at LHW? Pascal? That's all? If Dawson loses to Hopkins he will not be considered as an A/B class fighter on here so you can count him out.

It's just one fight. He can go down again.

If he remains undeated and doesnt fight the s6 winner I'm not sure I'd call it a duck. I'd probably say that Bute was an irrelevant parenthesis in boxing history then. Much more protected than Sven Ottke.

Now this is where I think you're wrong. He will definitely struggle to get back to 168.

Given his weight come fighttime and walk-around weight, I really cannot see it being any more difficult than what it is today.

Why do you think it would be more difficult?

Difficult or not Bute stated clear that he will not fight LHW until he finish his business at SMW

When Bute has cleared the SMW division by beating Ward, Froch, and Kessler, then he'll move up....NOT BEFORE:nono

What was the name of the great long-time champ that Bute got the belt from?
