Apparently Hameds training consisted of watching Junior Jones Koing MAB over and over again and saying im going to do that.

 

naz was a cocky lil f***er,half the brits loved him and the other half wanted to see him get knocked out for being so cocky. i was one of the brits who wanted to see him get knocked out. but secretly i was quite sad when he lost to mab because he didnt fight his best fight. i seriously reckon he got too big for his boots and went in expecting to win and hadnt trained properly for it. and thats from a brit who hated the pric*.

They were the same age fool. But, if you look at boxing age Barrera is the elder being he started fighting as a pro at the age of 15. Barrera had like 55 fights when he went against Naseem. Hamed had 35 fights at that point.

 

I feel Morales and Mckinney are both way better wins than the one over Hamed. Hamed had power and some great reflexes, but is not and elite fighter. He did receive a proper schooling from Barrera.

and so what that Mexicans consider Hamed a Hype job ( it's the truth ) it doesn't degrade Barreras record, not when Barrera has two wins over the legendary Morales.

That is the problem most think hamed is underated or precive him as great but he never proved himself worthy by coming back an proveing his greatness he left everything debateble an questioned his championship heart an desire by never agin fighting a meaningful fight after his defeat

 

One of the greatest fighters that came from Britain in 50 years.Naz was excellent,deserves a lot of respect.

 

..up until when MAB humiliatingly beat Naz.. and what did Naz do? fought a bum then retired? He CHOSE to retire rather than avenge his 1 loss. He could have fought a fantastic battle in Pac, JMM and Morales.

Fair comment.I do think the Barrera fight one too many and was too difficult for him but he was a great fighter who came from Sheffield.But he just got fat and uninterested in it unfortunately.

 

How the fight turn out?

 

Well of course he gave Hamed respect,he was going up against arguably the hardest punching featherweight ever.Even he wasn't going to risk going to war and getting knocked out.But the thing is he had the versatility and ability to do it the other way.I certainly wouldn't have called it "incredibly cautious" because there were times when he was mixing it with Hamed in there.
What it boiled down to was that one fighter had all the tools,was well rounded and had substance, while the other only had power and after stripping away all the posing and posturing not much else.

 

You just don't get it.It's not a US v UK thing.It's about a cocky little obnoxious cocksucking **** getting his comuppance.Judging from some of the anti-Hamed reactions on these boards from your fellow Brits,it should be clear.Hamed was a polarizing and dislikable character that was usually either appreciated or despised.But I ask you this.If he were American,do you believe his English and British fanbase would be as loyal and defensive?
