OK, so it's beautiful to watch two guys beat the **** out of each other with gloves that can lead to sustained beatings and therefore brain damage but it's not beautiful to see them do the same thing without gloves so that the fight is over before any brains rattle too much? That's brilliant logic.
Yes absolutely. It's all about technique, courage, speed, agility, flare. Without boxing gloves your adding in a level of violence that takes away from that. I understand your point that its already violent but why make it more so? We can't make it any less violent without padding the gloves even further but that would take away from k.o capability.
And if they don't wear gloves all of that skill and courage will still be on display, you just won't see guys take twelve round beatings that leave them broken shells of themselves because they'll be put out far quicker. The violence with gloves is actually less than with because more glove padding means prolonged head trauma. Prolonged head trauma means Muhammad Ali and Meldrick Taylor. I love boxing and I don't think anything surpasses the drama and intensity of a hard-fought twelve round bout like the Gatti/Ward series but I do at least realize that the damage they're taking in putting on a show like that far surpasses the damage that a UFC fighter takes with those little gloves.
bareknuckle tends to boring as **** less proper headshots as it ****s up the hands.more blood in matchs
I hope these guys have access to bareknuckle-style boxing training. It looks like they are using gloved techniques with the hands held close to the body instead of extended outward. If they can learn bareknuckle punch defenses and in-chancery this sport will make more sense than using gloved methods that are completely inappropriate. I can see that they're not shooting for the 'mark' but headhunting alot.
