    I think Bute and Johnson respect the sport, not to do so. Where are this crazy ideas of yours come from?

    Experience. Good friends just usually don't hurt each other in the ring.

    They have expressed - quite publicly - a great deal of mutual admiration and respect from their time as sparring partners.

    It doesn't take much to put 2 and 2 together.

    Respect the sport though they might, they will not be looking to make bloody examples of each other. It will be a courteous & tactical chess match if anything.

    yeah casamayor and guerrero was horrible to watch and really signalled how shot casa was, that he was relying off paydays from his friends.

    what happened to the days when a friendly turn was a brutal earyl destruction (louis-lewis)

    They may be good friends but both admitted their sparring was very spirited, like there was a real fight; after the Andrade experience do you actually think Bute is going to take any chances to make Glen Johnson greater than he already is? or do you believe Glen is going to take it easy on Bute because they are friends? i think both boxers proved already how professional they are;

    Well, I have. I don't think Lucian is going to be thinking about a knockout.

    If he does, and he gets it - he will deserve a lot of credit. Of course haters will just say "Johnson was old and shopworn", but it will still be highly creditable.

    I dobut Bute will ko him, the perfect placed body shot maybe, but most likely just a easy decision win.

    Bute will have a LOT of credit IF he manages to KO Johnson. Huge IF.

    It will an intense fight because neither will need adjustments; we all know what Johnson will do from second 1 of the fight while Bute may try to pace himself picking only shots that'll land with power;
    if Bute manages to seriously slows down Jonhson mid-rounds, i see him landing some heavy assaults on Glen's body in an attemp to stop him.
    Johnson already knows he must stop Bute so he might take more chances to do so, i don't really see who Glen could face (at elite level) if he loses to Bute, but if he wins he'll have a belt at 168 and a door will open to the great remach "twenty years after" or the "the last T-Rex fight " Bernard Hopkins vs. Glen Johnson;
    it wouldn't surprise me at all if this fight doesn't last the whole 12 rounds but if it does , i expect both fighters to be exausted and the crowd to give them a long and deserved stand up ovation

    No way will it be a "friendly" match

    Canelo ko'd Baldomir who had never been ko'd since 94. Does that make him better than Floyd? It would be abit impressive, but because of his age we dont know if he got to the point hes not world class anymore. Just look at Mosley or Judah. At that age you dont know when their bodies start failing them and lose the ability to pull the trigger. Ill be impressed if he kos Froch or Ward. Oui?
