Carl Froch, I agree with martinez' team that he is too small for 168 guys, froch is a solid 6.1 guy with a great reach and power, martinez added weight would likely make him slower and he cant keep his hands down vs froch. Allthough this is certainly the best match up at 168 for him, he needs to stay at 160.
I think Sergio would do well going up in weight, at 160 he is a dominant force and he could do the same at 168
I think Martinez would have his moments against Froch, and anyone else in that division. Him fighting a super middleweight is not too different from Pacquiao fighting welterweights. Both, on fight nights, come in at 148 and 168 - more or less bang on the weight limit for their class. So for Di Bella to claim Sergio is too small to fight super middleweights whilst demanding Pacquiao to fight up at 154 against his guy, is just pure and utter bull****.
I've strongly come to believe Martinez has a good shot at anybody in that division, good as it is. I wish he were as confident about it as I am.
Sergio by SD. In the center of the ring Froch would try and use his reach, but hed get countered like he did with Dirrell, but with crisper, harder shots. Froch would have his moments on the inside, but wouldnt land many clean shots. Sergio by SD in a fun and exciting war. Only one that might beat him is Ward. But that one is 50-50 Imo.
