at this point in time, froch would prove too tough and too game. he would fight for three minutes of every round. i don't think hopkins would be up to that. carl froch UD. something like 116-113 or 116-112.
You saw how many times johnson landed that right hand, combined with all his flaws this has hopkins decision written all over it. I think froch is awesome but b-hop schools him at any given day.
Hopkins is easily easily easily more skilled but it depends which version of him turns up, he blah blah blah Calzaghe workrate blah blah
Hopkins is showing signs of wobble. Imagine this at 175, Froch would be an even bigger beast. I reckon Froch could and would take it, but I'd obviously never rule out a Hopkins tutorial.
Hopkins would embarrass him even more than he did Pavlik or Trinidad. Edit: Much respect to Froch for finding such a foxy wife, especially in England.
i'm not saying hopkins doesn't land... because he will. the thing you're missing here is that every time froch gets hit, hopkins will get hit back also. froch would bring a fight and a high workrate! hopkins at 46 wouldn't be able to handle that. i don't care what anyone else says. froch beats him. had pascal not been mentally weak and actually fought, letting his hands go, he probably would of stopped bernard. evryone saw it. froch ain't pascal. and he ain't no mentally weak fighter. i could easily see froch knocking hopkins out.
Hopkins isn't exactly mentally weak himself and he does seem to have a talent for breaking the will of his opponents and shutting down their strongest weapons. Personally, I thought that Pavlik would be the first to stop Hopkins and, before that, I knew many that thought Trinidad would roll right over Hopkins. Even if you strongly feel that Froch would stop Hopkins, I would advise against putting money on it. Just my two cents.
