I have to point out that author Heller was good friend of Atlas when he wrote book, and Atlas was his source.

Heller was going to put in a chapter about the alleged 'preferences' of Cus, Jabocs and Tyson. But withdrew at the last minute.

I know, just wanted to let everyone know Atlas was tight with Heller at time. Speaking of guys being "Tight" with each other :yep I mentioned something on this on site in past. Atlas did interview with writer immediately after Cus died. It was published in People magazine, quoted Atlas as saying Cus was ***, and relationship with girlfriend was fake. People were so pissed, especially ones who helped Teddy while staying friends with Cus, that Teddy denied it, said he was misquoted by writer. It was untrue for sure, but Teddy is such a ***** he wanted to hurt Cus even when he was dead. Now that most everyone close to Cus is gone, Atlas came out last year and said it, without mentioning old article where he was quoted the denied it. That is way the piece of **** works. He even had Tommy Galhager saying it. Cus was straight, I assume Jimmy Jacobs was, and any idea of them being ***** is just Atlas being a scum bag
Very interesting. Always thought it odd the way, Tyson kissed Jacobs on the lips after beating, was it Berbick? And hay, maybe Cus is the coach regarding SRL in his book? Probably not. But I have to say, Atlas to me, is not a reliable source. A nut case.
It is and it would have provoked some controversy, perhaps too much. The fact that it was originally going into the book even caused a fight between Mike Marley and Heller at a fight card. In the end, Heller withdrew the chapter as there wasn't quite enough concrete evidence (about which way Jacobs and Cus' bread was buttered). :hey
No wonder Tyson wanted to kill Atlas. Atlas once held a gun to Tyson's head after an almost incident with Atlas' sister
I heard the internet rumors a long time ago that Cus was a pedophile. Not sure what to think of it to be honest, other than that I hope they are not true.
