There are rumors that Vitali is going to pull out from his title defence with Adamek. It's connected to political crisis in Ukraine. And I'm asking - is it a fu*king joke?!

Polish president Lech Kaczyński died in a tragic plane crash and Adamek did what he had to do: he had a contract to fight Arreola and he did, although that was a very difficult time for polish people. The fact about Adamek - he's a patriot, and there is no way that his president's death didn't affect him at all. He won the fight with Arreola and dedicated his victory to victims of tragedy in Smoleńsk. That's how Vitali should do.

Otherwise, that will be six months without a defense for Vitali. Bradley got stripped because of it.

Make up your mind princess - are you a boxer or a politician?

PS. I just cannot understand why Wlad can't be there in Ukraine with Vitali joining him after the fight.

Wklad doesn't share Vitali's passion for the political stage. But he is part owner of K2, and should step in on the boxing stage if anywhere.

I agree that Vitali's fists can do his political lobbying in this case though.

    Vitali is elected

    Wlad is not

I dont think Adamek has a political job n Poland

Klit needs to make a choice

If the fight is more important than politics he wont get voted in again !!

Vitali should probably be stripped if he pulls out for any other reason than an injury. That's the usual procedure but whether it happens or not, I don't know.

This is a VOLUNTARY defense. He should ONLY be stripped if he fails to make the Stiverne fight before March.

    the wbc have some "rules"

However any rule can be overturn with the boards decision or vote

    they like money boxers

Oscar did not defend his WBC title for 444 days then fought vargas in a unification no defenses needed

If the champ doesn't have any fight sheduled for more than 6 months then he will be stripped. Ask Timothy Bradley, he's got his lesson learned.

A fighter still has to defend his title. He can't just pull out because he has another career that needs tending to.

Harsh? Absolutely but boxing needs champions who are active.
