sweet boxing is a better version of that...but you have to pay to use the program to download the fights if you want fast d/l speed.

 

Chaps, kind of related to this but does anyone have any reccomendations of places/websites that produce dvds of good quality for most fights. Want to enhance my collection. Any help would be appreciated

 

Will check it out, thanks, youtube isnt that great for fights because of those ****s from the big networks and their copyrights, so ya have to look further a field sometimes.

The big collection I believe belonged to Jacobs, and he sold it to ESPN before his death. Although looking it up, indeed their partnership made it a joint asset, and Cayton sold it on to Disney (who use ESPN to broadcast the material).

There's a website called WBVA and they have every fight basically (maybe less of the older ones)... only problems are torrents and ratios.

 

I've been a member of WVBA for a few years and as long as you box smart (see what I did there?) its pretty easy to keep a decent ratio. :good

I'd never used torrents before and I only joined to download fights. I tried to join boxingasylum as well because I heard that they had some good stuff but for some reason my account was rejected. I have no clue why. So anyway, I downloaded the software and after downloading a couple of fights my ratio became something like 0.002 and I had to ask for a donation. Well, now I know how it works although I'm still not sure how you manage to up the ratio enough from just seeding unless you only download the free fights.

That other website (soso) is quite good, I'm watching Hopkins vs Calzaghe for the first time right now and the quality is quite good.

 

Download the "free" fights on WVBA.

Its sll about how much you "take" against how much you "give". Thats your ratio. The free fights let you download for nothing but still get the credit for giving.

As soon as you get enough credit you can start downloading the fights you really want.
