Trust me, if there's money to be made in a matchup with Toney, B-Hop will take the fight.

I know $ is the main thing, but don't think he wants to fight someone he thinks he'd lose to.

Toney is slicker than bhop and hits harder IMO,

How didn't Toney and Bhop not face each other? 2 great fighter not facing each other is a great shame. It's a little too late now...... :(

Not if Toney really loses more weight.

But unlike Roy, Toney still has some left. So don;t think BHop will chance losing to another old guy. His "oldness" uniqueness will be gone if he loses.

hopkins doesnt care about losses nowadays, he is old at this point and basically is making good money fights and if he wins it adds to his legacy if he loses its always close and doesnt hurt him because he is old.

I guarantee you that Toney doesn't weigh 215. I doubt he weighs below 230 at the moment.

I don't know why fighters lie about their weight so often

Yes but what is he like in physical years? Bhop is in great shape at all times and doesn't eat crap all day. Toney must be a mess inside but what that does tell you is how skilled he really is!

If James is definitely set on fighting on, Tarver at cruiser is about the best fight that could be made for him. A 257lbs Toney is not something that anyone ever wants to see again, and he and Tarver would provide good trash-talking outside the ring and an interesting match-up inside.

PS: Hopkins will never, ever fight Toney. JMHO.

Why not? If the money's right then why wouldn't he. Not sure what state Toney is in but all that weight loss may be detremental to him. I know he uses his skills mainly, but losing all that weight could seriously impact his power and stamina. Im hope im wrong though.

On the flip side, the extra poundage will affect Bhops stamina. He is already 46 and that extra muscle would be much harder to shift around. Add to the fact that he would get slower.

As long as the weight loss doesn't kill Toney too much, i would favour him more than Bhop as he is used to fighting at higher weights. Beating the ex cruiser and HW king is a great acheivement too.

Yeah, I am sure Toney has food allergies and addictions, and BHop is a healthier individual. Maybe Toney will get someone to really clean up his diet. Find Djokovic' people who found a hidden wheat sensitivity.

Anyway, still say BHop wouldn't fight JT--fear of losing, and to another old man. Would lose all his recent legacy.

Wonder how he did it, if it in fact is actuall true of course.
Maybe he made a "training montage", that always works in movies :yep

Anyone not hoping that Toney can get back into shape and make some real fights happen at CW cannot call themselves fans of the sport of boxing.
Me? I'm wondering who Toney's trainer and diet coach is, and how long he has been cleaning up his weight problem.
Today. there are many very good weight lose nutritionists who can not only get Toney's weight down, but do it so as Toney is not drained. It really all depends on how badly Toney is committed and how badly he wants it.

Personally, I hope he is dedicated to getting in shape and giving us 1-2 more good fights before he has to retire.

This new breed of fighters just don't have the stuff of these old school Gs.
