Is there a HBO faceoff for this fight? I could of swore I read that they were doing one on their last media conference in NY at the HBO headquarters but I haven't heard of anything since then. If so, it's kind of odd that Mayweather vs Ortiz's faceoff has already aired even when the fight is after this one...

Interesting article translated into english from bokser.org .... I know the author is Polish and strongly favoring Adamek but this is a great analysis of what us Adamek fans hope to see:

"Even more important factor will be stamina. If you look at Gomez and Solis, they probably knew how to beat Klitschko, they just weren't fit enough to sustain the high level of intensity, which is vital against Vitali. Older Klitschko's volume is a torture for your legs. Other contenders just couldn't dance at all....Briggs, Sosnowski, Johnson, Arreola and many more - they're all pedestrians. Some of them had good chins, some of them had good defense and some of them were good punchers....None of these guys could move around for twelve rounds like Adamek. Actually, they couldn't move around for one round. Goral's got fast hands and he will throw combos, he will come to win at all costs. Vitali's style's very tricky, he keeps his left hand low and casual opponents are marching towards the cross 'cause they're trying to land punches over the jab but they can't hit and run, they're simply too static. Klitschko's so good in utilising his reach that if you're not as big and strong as Lennox Lewis the only way is to mix stamina, speed and hard chin to make Vitali work for it - Adamek is the first guy who's actually bringing these cards to the table. We'll see how Vitali reacts, he's surely one of the great modern champions yet he still needs this fight to enhance Doctor Ironfist's legacy while Goral is building his own legend, he's a throwback to eras of classic, blue-collar champions like Holyfield or Spinks, relatively small heavyweights of highest integrity.

I am going with Adamek, it's a pleasure to finally pick Polish boxer in championship fight, especially if he's a big underdog. Vitali, we're coming for you."

I respect Klitschko and really like Adamek's chances.

Yes there is. I haven't found a date yet though....probably 2-3 weeks before the fight similar to the Wlad-Haye Face Off (aired June 16th for July 2nd fight).
It does seem odd that it's not on the HBO schedule....

    Faceoff between Vitali and Adamek?
2 guys with broken English going at it, should be exciting.

Grant had an 86" reach (amazing wingspan) Vitali's is not that huge for a big man @ only 80", while Adameks reach is 75". If he could mange to get inside Grants 86" range & land some power shots, I think Tomek will fins a way to do the same with VK.

Only a 5" difference fighting VK compared to a massive 11" reach advantage that Grant had. I know, Grant is not Vitali, but still, that was some incredible distance Adamek had to cross in order to land. And he managed to land very nicely...many times. This was TA's 1st test against a giant & he past the test well.

He'll be fine. Just don't get caught while he's going in to land his combo's. This is where his footwork & ring movement will play a key factor in the fight.

    (((((((((((GETTING CLOSE!!!)))))))))))

My family hasn't been excited for a boxing fight like this since those ancient days of Golota. I wish it was in Newark. : D

I think we'll see Vitali use his uppercut for Adamek's inside attempts.

But getting inside will be quite a task, given Vitali's lean forward taunting, and impeccable timing with his counter punches.

And its not only his arm length that is so effective, its his leaning forward, then way back when they try to come inside. ........then after leaning back outta danger, he quickly leans back in and fires off a powerful combination....

Gonna be a hard fought battle for Adamek.:good

I'm aware of how VK leans forward to deliever his punches & when his oppoenet goes on offense, VK will lean back to avoid the advance.

Well, what would happen IF Adamek can make him lean back, step back & Adamek becomes relentless in his attack at that moment? It could create a problem for Vitali's balance, allowing TA to really land some serious combo's. VK isn't the best fighter while moving backward. Thats when Adamek has to jump on him.

I sure hope Roger Bloodworth is thinking about scenerios such as this.

But all it would take is one unfortunate bomb to land on Tomasz & it could be all over right there.

Tomasz is a smart fighter, so it may take a few rounds for him to decide what he should actually do. In my thread I made about a possible gameplan I said TA should stay low & attack the body HARD from the onset & keep it up for 4 or 5 rounds. Then start to go upstairs.

Guess we'll have to wait & see what happens.;)

This is TOO BIG a fight for Newark.

I was really hoping it was gonna happen in NYC @ Madison Square Garden, The Mecca of Boxing.

Then, for sure, I'd have tickets!

Adamek has the ability to not only move in forward, but he steps to the side also, fires fast precise combos, and steps out. It should be very interesting.
