Nobody has a style like Pacquiao, the only thing Judah, Ortiz and whoever else have in common with Pacquiao is that they're Southpaw. The only chance Ortiz has at winning rounds is getting Mayweather on the ropes, cutting off the ring and connecting with punches to the body and head. I don't think Ortiz is that fast honestly,I think that will show in this fight. I think he'll gas out as well. Watch the Peterson fight, he's just not a very good fighter, he leaves himself open way too much and is knockout waiting to happen.
Eh, wouldn't change my opinion too much. Manny struggling with Marquez doesn't change my opinion on how the fight goes, why would Floyd struggling with Ortiz?
You're avoiding the question. It should be an easy question for you to answer. Mosley had his right hand up high the whole fight looking to avoid that left hand, and was knocked down by a left. Cotto was knocked down 3 times I believe by left hands, Margo's right eye was busted to **** from a series of left hands, Hatton, was put down and out by a left hand, he knocked down Marquez 4 times with left hands, he knocked Diaz out with a left hand. And as mentioned earlier, Manny barely lands his jab and doesn't do much damage with it. Manny's right hand isn't useless, but it's the left hand that he's doing the overwhelming amount of damage with.
he was fighting a lot more offensive minded than usual in that fight with Corley. It's funny because Corley and Zab both hurt Cotto more than they hurt Floyd
He's not totally a rythm fighter. He can counter punch, box and do a lot things you dont give credit for. Floyd's problems in this fight are his habits, offensively and defensively,. I've gone over this a million times so I'm not gonna go there. But this is what you guys fail to see. It's not about whether he won or lost against lefties in the past. The southpaw factor is one component of the fight. I bring it up a lot because it's important and it gets ignored. It changes the dynamics of the fight completely. What it all boils down to is styles and habits. Study Floyd's habits. Don't just say he's a smart boxer/counter so he wins. Look at how he counter punches, how he defends and then make the analysis. What he does in the ring (and doesnt do) will get him in trouble against Pacquiao , it's that simple.
He'll fight the same way against Ortiz. And why do you think he fought more offensive minded against Corley and Mitchell? Since when are they defensive fighters? Corley was coming towards Floyd all night.
I agree with you about the rhythm fighter part, but I think it's more about what Manny does and doesn't do that will get him in trouble against Floyd. I'm sure Manny will do some things that trouble Floyd. The problem is, Floyd adjusts really well. Manny just gets more aggressive. That works really well with a lot of opponents, but it won't work with a fighter like Floyd.
