Accoring to ringtv.com, Bute is in negotiations to fight Dirrell. Apparently, he's looking to either fight Anthony in the fall or Andre in early 2012. I haven't seen much of Anthony, and he is extremely unproven. So I'm not so sure about that. If Andre looks good in his comeback fight, that would be an excellent opponent for Bute. Andre is a tricky fighter for just about anyone around that weight class.
If it's Andre then I will watch it only because it's against Bute and I expect him to lose, otherwise I don't want to see him again. About the Anthony option, I think it's way too early for him, and I can't see it happening. No reason for him to get KO'd by Bute and then try to get his career back on track. But if it happens I would watch it.
Why would Bute even accept to fight Anthony. This is too soon for him. I want the Andre fight though and excited to see that
When Dirrell schools Bute you can just kill yourself knowing that every European at 168 has been exposed finally.
Dirrell, fall down on canvas, complain, run, hold and back out of a fight with SOB Ward! Oh, and he is a great actor.................Bute by knockout!!!
And cue MichiganWarrior Wich Direll are you referring to for that "schooling"? I can't see any SMW "school" Bute by the way, some might beat him but "school"... NO way!
Heard the same thing with Kessler and Abraham. Until they were promptly schooled. Same guy who got beaten into the round by Andrade. Dont be surprised if Dirrell makes Bute look like he's moving in slow motion.
Andre Dirrell most certainly schooled Abraham, providing the blueprint for each subsequent schooling, and Kessler was an example of a previous impervious European being treated like a C level part-time boxer/garbage man by a prospect. Here all save you some heart ache for later. Go watch Butes fights, and see how easy it is to touch him. Touch him is American boxing term for being punched in the face by the way.
He was winning the fight on points for sure, but it was no "schooling". You don't lose 3 out of 10 rounds, get knocked down and have to be on your bike in the later rounds if you give somebody a "schooling". That blueprint thing was right, he did provide that. Come on, you saw that fight didn't you? Ward would have beaten him on a fair way also, but relied on dirty tactics for the complete fight. That's no "schooling" either, that's getting away with elbows, headbutts and holding and hitting because your in your home town. He got just as much stick as praise for that fight from both sides of the Atlantic... but no schooling I know Bute can be hit, I've seen most of his fights since he became IBF champ. But I also know he hits back, quick and hard. Froch can be hit even easier, and he's in the S6 final... Won't be surprised if he beats Ward and wins the whole damn thing.
Dirrell was never knocked down. It was ruled a slip. Abraham maybe won 3 rounds at best, havent watched the fight in awhile. I think I gave him 1 or 2 rounds. But he looked like he had been in a car accident, eye was cut, which probably would have led to a stoppage had the ring doctor not treated his eye for 10 minutes. Never the less, Abraham got schooled, he had to resort to illegal blow because he couldnt hit Dirrell. Go watch the 11th and you tell me how many punches Abraham was able to land before he went for a KO on a defenseless opponent. :rofl Delusional Euro. Its cute. Froch beat Ward. :rofl Tell me, have you been watching the super six high?
Bute would stop them both on the same fight card! Why not just fight them at the same time? It would be funny watching them flop and smash into each other, just like when they were children.
