Diaz and Maidana are manure though. Olivares could've beat both on his way to the ring.

You think Canto isnt one of the best mexican fighters ever?

That is a surprise coming from you.

In terms of ability i would probably rank him at the top and his resume isnt too shaby either.

14 defenses of the flyweight title including wins over Oguma twice,B.Gonzalez Twice,Martin Vargas,Antonio Avelar,Chan Hee Park(I have him clearly winning the second fight)Hanagata, hes arguably a top three flyweight ever.

i agree in the big scheme of things they are. yeah olivares is up there. but i mention morales because I crazily think he has more left to offer :think:think i think he'll beat matthyse and pull another decent win out of the bag.

i don't wanna list in any particular order but all the usual suspects have been mentioned, i just don't think generally, morales gets his dues.

and i am willing to say if jmm beats pac at WW he's the goat mexican, maybe it's just because for the last few days I've seen nothing apart from marquez and norton fights (I know, strange mix) so my opinion right now is probably skewed, but to hell with it. if jmm beats pac he's the daddy of mexico.

    Chavez.

Sanchez, Morales, Olivares, MAB, Marquez and Lopez are all in the conversation though.

:nono I do most definitely think Canto is one of the top dogs, that imbecile just said that Pacquiao fans are clueless *******s because we know nothing of Mexican fighters yet he did not mention Canto in his post, so I was calling him out as I don't believe he even knows of Canto. You have (unwittingly) ****ed the test up by providing him with Canto information!

Another ESB'er who watched JCC towards the end of his career. JCC could have fought JMM, Morales, and Barrera 10 times each, and he would have been 10 for 10 against each one, respectivelly.

    JCC
    Sal Sanchez
the rest can be placed to your preference

that's a bit of a ridiculous statement, be honest here.

I disagree. One win over Pacquiao would not be enough for Marquez to surpass Chavez, Olivares and Sanchez in my eyes. I'm not a big fan of Marquez's resume at all, despite my admiration for his abilities. I think he lost the 1st Pac fight, drew the 2nd, lost to past-prime Barrera, and that's before you even consider his numerous shoddy performances against the likes of John and Norwood. No, even a win as titanic as Pacquiao III would not make me forget a career of comparative underachievement and sporadic inconsistency (I say comparative meaning in comparison to Chavez and Olivares).
