I want to make myself clear, I'm not asking Floyd fans who aren't Pac fans what they think of Floyd. I'm asking Pac fans who aren't necessarily fans of the Money Man what things they actually like about him. I'm including the most diehard "*******s", too. For example, I really like his uncanny ability to make adjustments mid-fight. The man doesn't have to beat opponents by being the best fighter in the ring. It's enough that he takes his opponents as he finds them and figures them out. I'm not a boxer, but the way I see it, making tactical adjustments during a fight must be a really hard thing to do. Kinda like trying to put together a 100 piece jigsaw puzzle while someone's throwing bricks at your head. The fact that Floyd is able to think so clearly under life-threatening conditions is truly a marvel to me. I'd even go so far as to say that the man is fabulous. OK Pac fans, I really want to hear what you like about Floyd.
Simply put, the way Floyd puts his Ring IQ to work. The way he puts himself in the perfect location and position to counter. The adaptions he makes and the way he uses the aggression and tendencies of his opponents against them. How he keeps concentration, like how even in the middle of a perfect counter he's already moving to defense instead of standing around and letting the other guy respond.
His footwork, his fantastic defence and ring IQ, and the ability to adjust to his opponents game plan almost at the flip of a switch are all fantastic qualities as a fan of the sport, regardless of who I'm a "fan" of.
I find his defensive wizardry entertaining. Ofc I'd like to see his chin cracked, but it places a bit of intrigue when fighters struggle to do so. He should fight more though.
