I say he has a 50-50 chance against both. colins gave a stil great mccallum a tough fight and had underatted boxing ability. he wasnt the all out brawler people think he was

he beat them both pretty convincingly, twice each, and was as far past his peak as either of them...yeah I have no doubt the result would have been the same whenever they fought...though many Benn/Eubank nuthuggers will doubtlessly disagreee.

Let's not forget that eubank had him there for the taking in the first fight. He was never a finisher after Watson 2, had he been he would of ko's Collins and things would of been very different indeed.

He showed he could take Benn's hardest shots without blinking an eyelid, so yeah he could've beaten Benn.

He lost against Eubank in that first fight. Eubank with the hand and foot speed, fast reflexes and creativity he showed against Benn and Watson at middle or Rocchigiani at super-middle would probably out-class Collins further again. If you look at the Thornton fights, Collins and Eubank both circle him but Collins is getting into exchanges with Thornton and Eubank is beating him to the punch and moving.

It was discussed a month or so back on I think the classic forum, I do not see Collins pre Pyatt having the tools to beat either.

No, he was not British enough to stand a chance.

It's dumb to say he wouldn't have had a chance, whether he'd beat them or not is another question.

I think even Collins would admit that Benn was done, but in fairness it wasn't as if he was extended or got a gift decision. It would be a real war, they'd probably need three fights to determine who was superior.

As for Eubank.... I'd imagine it would be a contest between Eubank's movement and Collins applying pressure. Pre-Watson II Eubank only really defeated a raw Benn and a few roadsweepers, plus the controversial verdict over Watson the first time.

Obviously he did change afterwards, but how it affected his ability to beat Collins is anybodies guess.

  11. Collins is Pele......... Eubank was Maradonna.

Easy to think Collins about the 2 matrix questions.

    1. Who would have won in their primes?
    2. Who won?

he definately could of who knows though, the nuthuggers will say eubank was shot and he wasnt a finisher after watson but lets face facts thesame people will say calzaghes best win was against an even more shot eubank

I agree with the former (not shot, but definitely a bit more tentative), but not with the latter :good
