You are misinterpreting what I'm saying, I'm not saying if they were more active Pavlik would have won or Pascal would have won, although you can make a case for Pascal. Pascal had a very low work-rate and blew his opportunities to put the pressure on Hopkins, but when he did was successful.

And Hopkins being the toughest oppoent Dawson has ever faced? Hopkins is a good boxer, but he hasn't shown anything that scares Dawson.

Dawson is not a fighter? What about the beating he gave to Adamek? How about the fact the fact that he went toe to toe with Glen Johnson, then beat him convincingly the second the time. How about the fact that he almost knocked out Pascal in the 11th round, despite losing the fight. Dawson is not a fighter? He's more of a fighter than Hopkins has recently shown.

Dawson is a fighter, but he's also a boxer too. When was the last time Hopkins got into a fight?

You have no basis to keep saying 'he almost knocked Pascal out in the 11th round'.

Your boy got well and truly handled in that fight, just as he will in this fight.

Chad Dawson is deluded and lacks fighting heart.

Watch the 11th round round of that fight, he was giving Pascal a beating. Until an accidental head butt occurred.

I've watched the fight about 3 times and I know exactly to what point in the fight you're getting at. But you cant say he was almost knocked out, he had not been down, he didn't even look hurt to me (despite what HBO coimmentators were saying - I'm sure they hadn't seen much if any of Pascal before because they really didn't know how he fights), at best he got slightly stunned by an uppercut. You cant use it as a defence for Dawson as the facts are he did not get knocked out, he did not go down, his legs did not even buckle.

The reason Hopkins looked so good against Pavlik and Pascal was they are horrible boxers ..Anyone with some decent skill and speed gives Hopkins trouble ..I mean look at what Jermain Taylor did with him ..Dawson should win this on pts ..

Dawson doesn't have a great output, you know. To beat Hopkins, you have to be in his face, beating him to the punch. Dawson has the skills to do it but he never uses them.

There are many things he could criticize Hopkins for. This was not one of them. Shut up Chad.

Confidence is one thing. Lying to yourself is another. That's like going into a Floyd fight saying he's not that quick.

Dawson isn't lying, there is a reason why Dawson has been calling out Hopkins for years. What he meant was that Hopkins has no gameplan for him. We'll see, it's going to be a good fight come October 15.

He avoided Calzaghe for a long time and with good reason ,looks like Lightning will strike twice with this fight for the executioner ..

Bottom line, there is a reason Hopkins avoided Dawson to begin with. Furthermore Dawson's lone loss was ****ing BS technical decision, in which he had Pascal hurt and on the verge of being KO'd. Lastly, Dawson is a great fighter and I will stake my 1900 VCASH as well as any avatar bets etc that Dawson wins this fight.

"No physical advantage"...Dawson is taller, faster, has far more miles left on his legs (he still uses his). His jab is better, and he's a better combinatiion puncher when he chooses to throw combinations.

"Mentally soft"? Dawson has lost 1 fight via accidental headbutt decision, he's beat Glenn Johnson, Tarver II, and Adamek...how do you figure he's mentally soft?
