Hamil was a good fighter. But when he fought last saturday he looked sluggish and barley punched..... It may be for the best.

I was never a huge fan of Hamill, since the ultimate fighter. I hate people with disabilities that suck all the attention out of the room. Huge entourages of carers and translators, and special attention. It did not help that Tito virtually ignored all the other fighters on his team to concentrate on his protege. It's bit of an unworthy thought I know.

Bisping got really pissed off that in practice Hamill would always go to hard causing injuries.

I don't understand the great thing that Hamill has had to overcome. People have sailed round the world Blind and competed in running with no legs. What disability is it not to hear when you are a cage fighter or wrestler? so you need the ref to tap you on the shoulder at the end of the round.

I always had high hopes for Hamill just because he had freakish strength and thought hed improved. But unfortunately he never did and became more of an enigma. He could take alot of punishment as good as anyone.

Meh. For all of the "he's a great wrestler" stuff he didn't do much with it in the last five fights or so that he had. He just waded forward being big and strong and I found his style boring as hell. It was almost like he won by keeping the other guy from doing what he wanted rather than him implementing some sort of strategy.

Honestly, I won't miss him as a fighter and I hope he's happier teaching in retirement.

I liked Hamill but I always thought his striking was awful and his wrestling was average too. He was a big strong powerful tough fighter who improved a bit but no where near enough to enter the top echelon of the sport.

I know he technically holds a win over Jones, but in the reality he was getting murdered until Jones got over excited and got himself DQed.
